HEXaFLITE 4 Mini Trio, Simtec Systems

global appeal and enquiries are strong from the Middle East again working alongside our partners. We cannot say too much, and we will let our clients and partners tell the World when they open and we look forward to celebrating more successful attractions that families go back to time and time again. Sharing Simtec Systems‘ recent successes,

Andreas Stickel says: “After the huge success with our first generation of HEXaFLITE systems, Simtec has created the HEXaFLITE 2.0, which provides even more features and more opportunities for the creative development of media storyboards. Our new system is already able to use its 6DOF motion capabilities in the loading position. The result is the combination of a traditional open cabin simulator with a flying theatre. “But that's not all. The full 6 DOF motion is also

continued throughout the whole tilt process. “The new HEXaFLITE 4&8 mini has been

excitement to get onto the ride. The result will be a first-class attraction, which give you the opportunity to combine it with a post-show and a retail outlet where your guests are willing to spend additional money. If you are trying to save money on one of your “ingredients” the entire experience will suffer!”

belts. The result is a significant higher hourly capacity with the Simtec HEXaFLITE system compared to our competition with the same number of installed seats and therefore an advantage in the CAPEX you need to spend. “The next step is to choose the AV system. Simtec

recommends using spherical LED screens creating a breathtaking image quality. If clients are not willing to spend the extra money for the LED screen, they should use a multiple laser projector set-up including an auto calibration system to guarantee high brightness and resolution factors. “The cream on your desert, to come back to our meal, is a well themed pre-show building up the

Process to progress Reflecting on the company’s activities over the past two years, KLT’s Kevin Murphy tells Park World: “Since the lockdowns and pandemics started, we have been fortunate to be involved in two Flying Theatre projects in the USA. The first is SkyFly: Soar America with Dynamic Attractions, a 39-seat theatre that takes guests on a journey through America and here our client is also investing in the operation as they believe in the format. We also worked in Las Vegas on two 40 seat theatres for FlyOver Las Vegas and the highly successful team rolling out Flying Theater attractions around the globe. The use of two theatres is not uncommon and allows for variable capacity and back up, although reliability is high – you can also have different ride content running at the same venue at the same time. Our main challenges for these projects were in logistics and getting the right people to the site, but we did it and the success of both attractions speaks for itself. SkyFly was voted as ‘best new attraction of 2021’ in the USA Today by their readers! “Another project we worked on just prior to the

lockdowns has now finally opened in Qatar with the Wings of Destiny Flying Theater – different with an animated adventure and the use of 3D glasses along with special effects in this 39-seat attraction. “Our team is currently working on projects for

the Caribbean, Russia, Far East, North America, and Europe so the Flying Theater attraction has

developed especially for reduced ceiling heights of about 6m. These systems are available with an electric or hydraulic 6DOF motion system. The system is an absolute must have for every FEC.” There have been some notable flying theatre

film releases from SimExIwerks over the past three or four years too, including Flying with Agila at Enchanted Kingdom, Manila (opened 2018); Flying Wild at Wilderness Resort in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin (opened 2020; FlyRide at Beyond the Lens in Branson, Missouri (opened 2020); FlyRide at Beyond the Lens in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (opening Spring 2022). The company’s Mike Frueh says: “We’re excited

to release “Frostbite – Dino Island” to Flying Theatres worldwide. This will be a very exciting film that offers a more dynamic and story-driven experience than the typical destination flying film. Frostbite will be available later this year. We plan to release at least two new films per year.”
