Welcome to the latest issue! Spring is finally in the air - and as ever, it’s bringing with it lots of new beginnings. Our industry is certainly no exception; there is plenty going on right now, with many operators opening up for the season with a brand-new attraction or area ready for visitors to check out. Meanwhile, manufacturer Maxtron Show Lighting has even made a big move to the UAE (pages 22-23). Perhaps one of the most awaited reopenings for the UK this year is Nemesis Reborn at Alton Towers. The legendary Nemesis coaster first opened in 1994 - and it’s now quite literally back with a brand-new track. Read more about the update on pages 36-37. Exciting changes have been made in parks all over the world as they get set for the season ahead. China’s Shanghai Disney has added a Zootopia themed area (pages 38-40), while Poland’s Energylandia has also added a new themed area called Sweet Valley. We talk to Andrea van der Vlis, design lead at Jora Vision, to find out more about this on pages 18-19. Speaking of theming, this month’s Company Profile sees us chatting with Unlimited Snow’s founder Kees Alber, on the importance of theming, storytelling and immersion - and he introduces us to the all-new Miko’s Studio (pages 27-28). Plus, you can check out our interview with Convious founder and CEO, Camiel Kraan, on pages 30-31, and read the latest from SeaWorld (pages 21 and 32-34).

Enjoy!
