Getting connected
Charlotte Westwood sits down with Camiel Kraan, the founder and CEO of the Amsterdam-headquartered attraction management platform, Convious, to discuss everything from AI to Ironman, and the impact of technology on the experience economy
Charlotte Westwood: Tell us about your background. Camiel Kraan: Let's just say I've always been fascinated by the potential of technology in bringing ideas to the market. Building things, tinkering, and seeing what could be – that's what sparked my passion early on. The tech world was this playground of possibilities, and

Of course being a grown company with a worldwide presence throws in a whole new set of challenges, but hey, it keeps life interesting and adds another layer of satisfaction to the mix when we get it right!
CW: In your opinion, what makes for the ultimate visitor experience? CK: For me, the ideal visitor experience is all about creating a seamless, personalised, and genuinely fun environment. Imagine a world where booking is a breeze, long lines are a thing of the past, and every visitor encounters something special that leaves a lasting
