erlin Entertainments, a global leader in location-based entertainment has announced that construction of the world’s largest LEGOLAND Resort in Shenzhen has begun. Representatives from the Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government, Dapeng New District, Merlin Entertainments, The LEGO Group and Hazens Holdings attended a launch ceremony which featured the arrival on site of 20,000 brightly coloured LEGO bricks. Located on the Dapeng Peninsula, on the eastern edge of Shenzhen, the LEGOLAND Shenzhen Resort will be the first international IP-based family entertainment theme park resort in the Greater Bay Area, covering approximately 580,000 square meters and exclusively operated by Merlin Entertainments, with Hazens Holdings as its local partner. The total project investment is expected to be over $1.08 billion (7 billion RMB) and the park is due to open in 2024. Merlin currently operates 13 Midway attractions in China, including four LEGOLAND Discovery Centres, five Madame Tussauds, SEA LIFE Centres, The Dungeons, Peppa Pig World of Play and Little BIG City in Beijing. Tornado Springs opens Spring into Dreamworld for the Spring County Fair!


Dreamworld’s new Spring County Fair activities will take place from the 18 September through to 4 October. According to a


spokesperson, the inaugural event will feature headline activities including Belinda’s Barnyard Buddies petting zoo, spring-themed entertainment like live musicians, line dancing and live chainsaw carving “and of course some exquisite eats for sale, including American-style carnival favourites, as well as spring-themed items like

homemade pies, picnic packs and supersized fairy floss.” In true County Fair style, guests will be able to enjoy their favourite rides, plus the park will come alive with fresh and fun spring theming, including its very own Sideshow Alley, with carnival games and show bags for sale. As well as re-theming some of its most popular outlets, the park is also bringing its purpose-built food precinct (introduced during Winterfest as Winterville) back to life as the Harvest Eatery


Llocal craft breweries and distillers Black Hops and Grandad Jacks will also offer tastings throughout the event. Dreamworld CEO, Greg Yong said: “We know it’s been an incredibly tough year for a lot of Australians, and we know there are a lot of things our locals have had to miss out on, so we’ve worked with some great partner businesses to make sure our offering helps every guest create fun spring memories”.


Danish theming firm MK Themed Attractions assisted UK family park Paultons Park in getting its brand-new themed area, Tornado Springs, ready for 12 April by producing and delivering customised props for the entire area. 
