Their aim, your smile

Josep Tarres, CEO of designer and manufacturer of high quality photobooth technology Digital Centre, explains the importance of interactivity and connectivity in capturing the visitor imagination

How does the addition of a photobooth improve the visitor experience in theme parks, FECs and other visitor attractions? What are the advantages for operators, both financially and strategically? To visit a theme park or a FEC is to ‘live’ a good experience. It is to have a good time with friends or family, and that is why a photo booth is essential in these places. They allow people to capture the moment and take a memory of the place for a lifetime. The photos are completely customisable, so the operator can add the logo of the location or designs related to the place, and the visitor can take home a souvenir of a great day. There are also great advantages for operators. Digital

Centre’s new LED VideoWall range allows operators to play video advertisements on huge external VideoWalls that are seen hundreds of feet away to earn extra income during downtime. The striking screen is also a way of attracting new players.

JUNE 2018 The LED VideoWall PhotoBooth is an amazing

experience for visitors, because when they take a photo inside the booth they can see it outside on the huge VideoWalls a few seconds later - they feel like real movie stars and for a few moments are the star of the whole theme park, FEC or shopping centre. Photo booths with LED VideoWall bring in up to ten times more revenue than a classic photo booth due to the ease of attracting new customers.

What are the current trends in photobooth technology for theme parks and other visitor attractions? What sort of innovations are operators looking for? In order for photo booths to be up to date, they obviously have to be connected to social networks, provide different products and photo formats of the best quality and, above all, create an augmented experience. To get this you need a good design and good software that allows it.
