Fun Spot America unveils HeadRush 360


ride is part of an overall expansion Fun Spot America has been planning for the Orlando location. The company also has parks in Kissimmee, Florida, and Atlanta, Georgia. John Arie, Sr, founder of the company, has been providing family fun in Orlando since he opened Fun N Wheels on International Drive in 1979. Due to its popularity, Arie opened a second Fun N Wheels close by in Kissimmee, Florida, just minutes from Disney World.

Action Park underwent a 15acre renovation and expansion including a name change to Fun Spot America. The Orlando and Kissimmee locations now boast Central Florida’s only wooden roller coasters along with the second tallest SkyCoaster in the world. The tallest is located at their Kissimmee location.


Fast & Furious puts the pedal to the metal


Universal Orlando Resort’s new attraction, Fast & Furious – Supercharged, is now open at Universal Studios Florida. Now, guests and their families can join the Fast family on an immersive simulator that places them right in the middle of the action. With a worldwide box-office of more than $5 billion, the Fast & Furious film franchise is


one of the highest-grossing of all time. Universal Orlando guests can now step into the blockbuster franchise and straight into the heart of the Fast & Furious films right alongside the Fast & Furious crew including Dom, Letty, Hobbs, Tej, Roman and Mia, all played by the series’ superstars, who atended the opening (pictured). During the experience, guests can immerse themselves in an authentic recreation of


the Fast & Furious crew’s warehouse headquarters that is filled with actual props, iconic scenes, authentic details, and supercharged vehicles from the films. Once aboard the simulator they will ride with the family and crew as the films’ soundtracks pump, vehicles flip, rockets fire, and the action builds.


New children’s area opens at Fantasy Island


This year Fantasy Island, Grand Island, New York, will make their largest investment in recent history with the debut of a new children's area, Fairy Tale Forest, and other improvements throughout the park. The new area will include: Cinderella’s Midnight Magic Wheel, a kid-sized Ferris wheel with themed pumpkin carriages and Storybook Lane, where children can visit tiny houses modeled after the homes of their favorite fairy tale characters. Some of Fantasy Island’s classic children's rides will be incorporated into the new area including: Enchanted Tea Party, All the Kings Horses, Storybook Express, “Rapunzel! Rapunzel!” and Goosey Goosey Gander. "This newly reimagined children's area will feature rides, attractions and


entertainment for children and their families," said Chris Kearsing, Fantasy Island's general manager. The project was inspired by the former 'Garden of Fables' area which debuted at the park in 1961.
