Celebrations begin at Canada’s Wonderland

May 11 marks the opening of the Laguna Waterpark, situated at the centre of the La Mer neighbourhood at the end of the promenade known as Laguna. So, there’s not long now until visitors will be able to enjoy four distinctive zones, five main rides (two of them being a first for the Middle East), a number of attractions for grown-ups and kids alike, and more.


anada’s Wonderland, Vaughn, Ontario, opened with new ride Lumberjack, interactive family ride Flying Canoes, and an extensive entertainment lineup of live shows, food festivals, a month-long Celebration Canada event and more.


By Zamperla, Lumberjack is a thrill ride that takes guests soaring to heights of 75 feet (21m) on


two swinging axe pendulums, propelling them into a looping 360° experience. Flying Canoes is an interactive family ride from Preston & Barbieri that will allow riders to control their journey of flight in two-person canoes that rotate speedily around a circuit. When Splash Works opens May 26, Canada’s Wonderland will also unveil the newly


transformed kids pool and splash area, Lakeside Lagoon. Splash Island’s children’s pool in Splash Works will be expanded to double its size and feature all-new interactive spray features.

WaveOz 180 FloRider in the GCC, also known as ‘The Ultimate Surf Machine’, and a comprehensice children’s zone with Splash Pad and AquaPlay Rainfortress. The attraction also features the following rides: The Manta, Constrictor, The Loop, Freefall, and Mad Racer


Parc Ange Michel doubles the fun with two new attractions


Two new coasters are coming to French family theme park Ange Michel. Located near Mont-Saint-Michel in Normandy, the park will now house Le Tourbillon, manufactured by Italian company Gosetto, a spinning coaster with wagons that twirl as they go. The park’s second new novelty is Les Pigs who Laugh; a little train


in the shape of a pig that takes little ones through alighthearted barnyard scene. Laughing pigs rub shoulders with cows, chickens, donkeys, and more – eagle eyed riders will also spot a rabbit stealing the farmer’s prized carrots.


Paw Patrol on a roll into Mall of America’s Nickelodeon Universe


Mall of America has announced a new Paw Patrol immersive experience to open in Nickelodeon Universe late this summer. Based on Nickelodeon’s animated preschool series


Paw Patrol – produced by Spin Master Entertainment – the new 4,000 square-foot attraction allows little fans to recreate their favourite Paw Patrol missions inside the world of Adventure Bay in an open-play experience. Whether preparing for rescue missions inside of

Lookout Tower or climbing down to the beach to see if there are any turtles or crabs that need saving, kids of all ages will find something new around every corner while visiting the attraction. Located at the east entrance of Nickelodeon


Universe, the PAW Patrol attraction will join the more than 27 rides and attractions located inside the 7-acre theme park, and the more than 520 world-class shops and attractions at Mall of America.
