Puy Du Fou set to invest ¤200 million by 2025
2017 is set to see Puy du Fou, France’s second largest theme park, celebrate its 40th anniversary with a fantastic new programme for guests to enjoy. 2017 is also the year that Puy du Fou promises a major turning point for international development with new ambitious projects being developed in Europe and China. The park has also reported an increase in
visitors of 8% and a turnover of more than €100 million (a 21% increase), crediting this increase to the series of bold investments they have made. Over the last ten years the number of visitors has increased by 184% and the turnover has more than tripled. The park have also reported that €30 million has been set aside for further investment, with an overall investment of €200 million by the year 2025.
Universal announces Fast & Furious ride coming spring 2018
U
niversal have announced that next spring will see the arrival of a brand new attraction at Universal Studios Florida. Fast & Furious – Supercharged – will be an action packed ride taking guests on a high-
octane journey that fuses an original storyline, incredible ride technology, popular characters, exhilarating environments, nonstop action and, of course, high-speed cars. The attraction will also feature the Virtual Line experience, allowing guests to select a ride time in advance so they can spend less time waiting in line, and more time enjoying the other attractions that the park has to offer. The Virtual Line system will be accessible via the Official Universal Orlando Resort App or at kiosks located outside the attraction entrance.
Warner Bros. Movie World announces southern hemisphere’s largest hypercoaster
Warner Bros. Movie World has announced a brand new DC Rivals hypercoaster, which will debut at the iconic Gold Coast theme park this October. The new coaster is the longest, fastest and highest hypercoaster in the southern hemisphere and is set to change the theme park landscape like nothing ever before. Village Roadshow Theme Parks Chief Executive Officer, Clark Kirby said: “The DC Rivals hypercoaster will be a world-class ride featuring an array of thrills guests can enjoy as a family. It will be themed around the hugely popular DC Universe featuring some of the most epic battles and rivalries between iconic DC super heroes and super villains. “Reaching speeds of up to 115km/h, guests will be taken on an
exhilarating journey as they experience 4.3G forces and a series of twists and turns along the 1.4km track, almost double the length of any other ride on the Gold Coast. The DC Rivals HyperCoaster will also feature a world- first train design giving selected riders the opportunity to ride backwards as they take on one of the world’s first non-inverted loops.”
