Maverick Games moves to poker
Kendra Ross, managing director of Maverick Games, talks about the company’s new dedicated poker offering.
Maverick Games has just announced a new poker client; why should players be excited to hear this news? Kendra Ross: We think our dedicated poker product is going to be a real game-changer. You’ve mentioned Dan Kent as director of poker; what will he be focusing on? KR: We want to become the number one poker destination for players all around the world. All of these learnings have been applied to the Maverick poker product, making it the best in the business. We’ve gone to great lengths to build a poker experience that we would want to enjoy ourselves, and Dan has been vital in ensuring that it hits the mark with players from day one. We can’t wait to see the first run of players take advantage of our 70% rakeback offer and sit down at the table for poker action and social interaction.
Can you tell us a bit about the spread of games and what kind of tournaments you’ll be offering? KR: We are currently offering the top three most popular poker games, namely No Limit Holdém, Pot Limit Omaha and Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo. We’ll also offer OFC AKA Pineapple, which is becoming increasingly popular amongst poker players and the community; it’s great to be able to offer a safe platform for players to play. Our tournaments – along with numerous daily and weekly freerolls – will start very
soon. We will then integrate more and more tournaments as time passes, and will aim to keep late registration times as small as possible. In the future we’ll be aiming to give users some BIG guarantees without lengthy late registration. This is a direct reaction to listening to what our players want, which is going to be key for us as we progress.
How do you anticipate the product developing over the next year? KR: We’ll be working very closely with our platform provider to be at the forefront of product enhancements and features, not only so that we maintain our high standards but so that we grow along with our players and our Maverick community. The most important aspect for is what our customers, players and the industry want in a poker product.
