Average monthly active users in Indian apps and games jump by 200%: Google
Woman from Punjab arrested by Tripura police for gambling racket
A Crime Branch Unit of Tripura Police has nabbed a woman from Amritsar for her alleged involvement in an online fraud through an app-based betting platform named “Sports Fantasy”, reported Senital Assam. The woman identifi ed as Anchal was nabbed from Amritsar airport and was brought to Agartala on a transit remand. She has been charged under IPC section 420 as she was involved in looting people through the betting app. As per the reports, the woman cheated a
huge number of clients, who used the platform to wager. After her arrest, she was produced before the West Tripura Session Court, from where she was sent into police custody for fi ve days. After a preliminary investigation, the

According to Google, users spent 150% more time on homegrown apps and games globally in 2021 compared to 2019. “India is home to one of the largest bases of
internet users and is one of the fastest- growing app user countries in the world. India’s apps and games have been receiving extraordinary interest from users as well as investors,” Kochikar said as first reported on Live Mint.
Data from analytics metrics company App Annie reveals India to be the largest market in the world for game app downloads with 1 in every 20 downloads coming from the Asian country in the first half of 2021. 4.8 billion game downloads came from India in the first six months of 2021.
