La vigencia de la concesión tiene como fecha el día miércoles 14 de septiembre de 2022. En declaraciones a los medios locales, José Alonso, subgerente del departamento legal de la Lotería, dijo: “El juego online ya se encuentra en vigencia en la provincia, vamos a hacer un llamado a licitación para los aspirantes a ser licenciatarios”, añadiendo que la normativa busca la oferta de “nuevos juegos u otros que ya están en plataformas para que se puedan explotar online, como los juegos de lotería, los de casino, apuestas deportivas y demás”.

Gabinete aprueba proyecto de ley para el juego y apuestas a distancia
El ministro de Comercio Exterior y Turismo, Roberto Sánchez, anunció que en una sesión extraordinaria del Consejo de ministros se aprobó de manera unánime el anteproyecto de ley, preparado por el Mincetur, para regular los juegos y apuestas deportivas a distancia (internet). De esta manera, Perú da un importante paso para regular la actividad de juegos de azar y apuestas online que viene generando un importante movimiento económico de aproximadamente PERS/ 4,500 millones (US$1.200 millones) anuales sin rendir ingresos al erario nacional. El ministro Sánchez señaló que es urgente que estas

In statements to the local media, José Alonso, deputy manager of the
Lottery legal department, said: “Online gambling is already taking place in the province and we are calling a tender for applications for granting licenses.” He added that the regulations seek the offer of “new games or others that are already being offered on platforms so that they can be exploited online, like lottery games, casino games, sports betting and so on.”

Executive approves white paper for online gambling and betting
Roberto Sánchez, Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR for its Spanish acronym) announced that the Council of Ministers, in an extraordinary session, approved the draft bill to regulate gambling and sports betting online (by Internet). In this way, Peru takes an important step promoting legislation prepared by MINCETUR to regulate the online gambling and betting activity, which has been generating approximately US$1.200 billion per annum without yielding any revenue to the national treasury, Minister Sánchez pointed out that it is urgent that these (online) operations be controlled in a comprehensive manner, paying taxes and complying with adequate conditions, similar to Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, and most of the United States and Europe.
