l parecer, la noticia más importante para la industria del juego, y la sociedad en general, acaba de darse en Brasil mediante el decreto del presidente Lula, que pone en jaque a las operaciones financieras de operaciones de Bets en el gran país sudamericano, y octava economía mundial. Como se puede leer en el reporte líneas abajo, Lula ataca al corazón del negocio ilegal de apuestas deportivas y juego online, bajo la aplicación de la Ley Anti-facciones, que fuera promulgada el 24 de marzo 2026. Efectivamente, la “Lei Antifacção”, o Marco Legal para la Lucha contra el Crimen Organizado, representa un punto de inflexión en el sistema legal brasileño, al atacar directamente a facciones que atentan contra el sistema financiero y la sociedad en general, como el crimen organizado, las milicias organizadas y los grupos paramilitares para financiar sus operaciones delictivas. Quienes tenemos experiencia del sistema bancario sabemos que la acción del presidente brasileño es el medio mas efectivo para combatir cualquier forma de actividad criminal como el juego ilegal, y nos sigue extrañando cómo países como el Reino Unido y EEUU mantengan risibles y timoratas medidas contra el juego delictivo en su países, esto se hace cortesía de los centros financieros en sus orondas capitales de negocios. Lo mencionado líneas arriba no es un secreto profesional ni nada menos, y por contrario es un secreto a altas voces. Sin el sistema bancario, los pagos online no funcionan, sea con tarjetas de pago o medios de pago bajo de antojadizos nombres para traficar con el dinero bien o mal habido del público que juega o apuesta online.

t seems to me that the most important news for the gambling industry, and society in general, has just come from Brazil through a Decree signed by President Lula, which puts in check all Bets financial operations in the great South American country - the eighth largest economy in the world.
As reported below, Lula attacks the very heart of the sports betting and online gambling business in Brazil, by force of application of the Anti-faction Law, which was enacted on March 24, 2026.
Indeed, the “Lei Antifacção”, or Legal Framework for the Fight against Organized Crime, represents a turning point in the Brazilian legal system by directly attacking all factions that threaten the financial system and society in general. This includes organized crime and organized militias and paramilitary groups that use the financial system for criminal operations. Those of us who have experience of the banking system know that the action of the Brazilian president is the most effective means to combat any form of criminal activity such as illegal gambling. We are still surprised by countries such as the United Kingdom and the United States maintaining laughable and timorous measures against criminal gambling in their countries, enabling the financial centers in their pristine business capitals to engage in such activities.
My comments above are not a professional secret or anything similar, on the contrary it is an open voiced secret because without the banking system online payments do not work, whether using credit or debit cards, or any means of payment to businesses under whimsical names, which do indeed make possible trafficking in good or ill-gotten money of the public that gambles or bets online. That said and off my chest, we are getting ready for the first ever GAT Brasil, Sao Paulo, on July 29 and 30, then, Sagse Paraguay, in Ciudad del Este, from August 5 to 7, and also GAT San Juan, Puerto Rico, from September 7-8, 2026.
