Proyecto de Ley de Casinos va a votarse después del receso
Bloqueado en el Senado durante al menos un año y medio, el proyecto de legislación de casinos y bingos en Brasil ha comenzado a ganar apoyo entre los senadores, y se espera que el presidente Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG) avance la votación como una de las prioridades en la segunda mitad del año. El texto ya fue aprobado por la Comisión de Constitución y Justicia del Senado (CCJ) y los senadores están trabajando para negociar la formación de una mayoría para la aprobación del PL 2.234/2022.

cinco años para comenzar, además de la generación de más de 1 millón de empleos directos e indirectos nuevos”.
De hecho, los casinos deberían inyectar miles de millones de reales en la economía brasileña. Según la Federación de Hoteles, Bares, Restaurantes y Establecimientos Similares del Estado de São Paulo (Fhoresp), se espera mover aproximadamente R$ 30 mil millones (US$5.530 millones) solo en el estado de São Paulo: “Hoy recaudamos alrededor de R$ 15 mil millones en tarifas diarias y R$ 5 mil millones en alimentos y bebidas hoy. Creo que podemos agregar alrededor del 20 al 30% de estos valores en tarifas diarias y hasta un 50% en alimentos. Sin mencionar los ingresos marginales, con máquinas tragamonedas y juegos de casino”.
