NOVOMATIC commit support as The British Casino Awards 2020 prepares to launch
The third annual British Casino Awards will take place in the heart of London in 2020 and, with the latest outing of the prestigious event starting to pick up pace, a number of industry heavyweights have pledged their support to the ‘awards scheme with a difference’.

aunched in 2017 by Casino International publisher Datateam Business Media, in association with The National Casino Forum
(NCF), the event serves as a unique platform for the recognition and celebration of the gaming sector’s premier talents, endless hard work and incredible innovations. Among the latest to throw their weight behind
the scheme is NOVOMATIC: one of the biggest international producers and operators of gaming technologies. Founded by entrepreneur Professor Johann F. Graf in 1980, the group now employs over 30,000 staff worldwide and exports high-tech electronic gaming equipment and solutions to more than 70 countries from over 50 locations around the globe. Speaking on NOVOMATIC’S decision to support
the scheme, director of UK Casino & Export Phil Burke MBA says: “Although still a relatively new endeavour, The British Casino Awards has very quickly built a substantial following and is already widely recognised and appreciated in this industry. “The awards have had an overwhelmingly
positive impact, providing a valuable opportunity for the hard work of so many companies and individuals in operations, marketing, F&B equipment and services suppliers to be recognised and acknowledged for their contributions.”
The categories on offer in The British Casino
Awards have been specially designed to reflect the vibrant nature of the industry that it serves, with a range of all-encompassing categories for manufacturers and suppliers, operators and individuals.
Phil continues: “The range of awards reflects
the diversity, wide range of skills and variety of contributions required to provide a successful operation in a modern and ever-evolving gaming and leisure environment. A global company such as NOVOMATIC doesn’t get to be so successful without recognising and appreciating the contribution made by the individuals and teams that provide these essential services, which is one of the key reasons we are happy to support The British Casino Awards.” The upcoming edition of the Awards will in fact mark the introduction of two additional categories: Best Slot Game and Best Use of Online. The criteria for the new additions and returning categories will be available on The British Casino Awards website. With the UK casino industry still being relatively small in comparison to those of other countries, NOVOMATIC’S Phil Burke MBA is keen to see more companies getting involved in the awards scheme – for the benefit of the sector as a whole. Phil notes: “Customer service, player protection, data analysis and product development play a key role
and many of the technical and service innovations are then adopted by other sectors of the gaming industry, promoting best practices and ultimately improving the experience for the most important people in our industry, the players. “Recognising those companies, and especially

2019 BCA had a hugely positive effect and the timing could not have been better, coming as it did during the ICE exhibition when so many colleagues from across the globe, as well as our valued customers, are all together. It was extremely informative and satisfying just how many of the visitors to our exhibition stand, many of whom were unable to attend the awards ceremony, were aware of the category winners and recognised the value of the accolades.” Those that wish to put themselves – or another

The British Casino Awards 2020 has also
