STAINLESS STEEL
Keep Red Hot with stainless steel radiators T
he interior of your house and your design choices are what make a house a home and soft furnishings, carpets and wall colours always play a big part in these decisions. However, let’s not forget that these days there are so many options when it comes to radiators. Many homes still have the white panel radiators of yesteryear, but by upgrading to a designer radiator you can really personalise your space whilst still having an efficient heating source. Radiator designers now have a choice of aluminium, mild steel, cast iron and stainless steel to create modern, sleek styles for all areas of the home, hence the current trend towards vertical designs and exciting new colours.
Comment by Barry Custy General Manager, Carisa Radiators
There are many advantages to using stainless steel for radiators, not least, the high conductivity of the material means that they retain heat for a long time, keeping your home warm even after your central heating system has switched off.
Stainless steel is robust and durable, making your radiators easy to look after, and the knowledge that your radiator is also protected from defects and corrosion and hence has a longer guarantee, leaves you feeling warm on the inside as well as the outside.
This material also scores well in the eco ratings. It is 100% recyclable, and it is estimated that recycled steel is used to manufacture well over 50% of all new stainless steel radiators. Most manufacturers use 304 grade stainless steel to give the best finish, but this also gives great versatility when shaping a product, allowing super stylish designs along with much more use of colour.
So heating has changed…it is not just functional but a form of art; a way to express individuality and bring pleasure to our homes. Unique styles, bespoke designs and modern colours will be the way forward so just think of the possibilities!
