Opinion: Exploring the Evolving Landscape of the UK Kitchen and Bedroom Market
The UK Kitchen and Bedroom market has experienced significant growth and transformation in recent years. As we navigate an ever-evolving landscape, it is evident that this market continues to thrive, driven by various factors. The pandemic has had a profound impact on the role of our homes, highlighting the importance of comfortable and multifunctional spaces. Kitchen islands are no longer limited to meal preparation but have become social hubs and workstations. Similarly, bedrooms have transformed into sanctuaries for rest and relaxation, with an increased demand for personalised storage solutions.
We are witnessing a heightened demand for sustainable products. Consumers are embracing eco-friendly materials, seeking finishes that not only provide aesthetic appeal but also align with their values of sustainability and responsible consumption.
Overall, the market is undergoing an exciting period of innovation and transformation. From sustainable solutions to digital advancements, EGGER UK remains at the forefront of driving positive change within the industry.
The Importance of Show Business
Hard to believe, but it’s nearly two years since the last KBB show at the NEC. It was memorable for us, as we presented our new group name, the House of Rohl, for the first time. Did it make sense, we wondered, to collect our family of brands under one banner?
That’s the importance of shows. There’s no better place for getting honest feedback from your customers. For building relationships outside of the day-to-day transactions. For showing your brands and products in the best possible light, and demonstrating their features and build quality. For doing business.

The KBB show, a staple in our industry calendar, underscores the profound value of trade shows. Reflecting on our experiences, these events are pivotal for a myriad of reasons beyond mere product showcasing. This year will be just as exciting. We hope to see you there!

Business in the cloud
Over the past decade cloud computing and storage have become increasingly sophisticated, with many businesses migrating their data and applications into the cloud.
Cloud applications can be accessed from anywhere provided you have an internet connection. They are more secure than their desktop equivalents and are far more cost effective as it removes the need for expensive on-site hardware and IT support contracts. This flexibility allows companies to choose where they work from rather than being tied to the office and the device they use as many applications work on any device including Smart phones.
Expanding or spreading your business across multiple locations become extremely easy as the costs are predictable and there is no need for complicated installations or licenses.
We believe cloud-based systems, that are well-supported on a trusted hosting platform, can free your business from unnecessary costs and restrictions.
