Marble finishes continue to thrive among bathroom design trends
“As the first quarter of the year draws to a close, it’s safe to say that marble finishes, a true bathroom staple, have continued to thrive among the most popular bathroom trends requested of retailers in 2024. “Viewed as the perfect neutral base, marble pairs with a plethora of colour palettes,
particularly when used across bathroom walls and floors. Due to its typical association with a hefty price tag, in addition to the challenges of maintaining the finish, homeowners may rule out marble as a viable option for their design. Marble-finish bathroom panels can place retailers in a position to offer this type of luxurious look for customers working to a budget. As they are easy to cut, size, install and clean, bathroom wall panels remain an obvious choice for 2024 designs.”

Form & Function: The role Consumers are looking to add personality to their kitchen, but in subtle ways of the modern radiator
Sinks with Personality
that still enable the space to flow seamlessly, particularly in open-plan rooms. The sink and tap are increasingly being chosen not just for their practical qualities, but to add a style statement too.
This is all happening against a backdrop of a move away from chrome as the default finish on brassware. The choice available and the popularity of this look among consumers is likely to increase even further this year, enabling kitchen designers greater levels of creativity.
We expect PVD finishes to be given greater emphasis this year too – giving a wider variety of colour options to the consumer, while also providing a very hardwearing finish, often up to 10 times more scratch resistant than their chrome counterparts.
Practical applications installed into a home must perform in both look and technical performance – radiators and towel rails are no exception. Radiators are no longer seen as mere functional devices to keep rooms warm - modern radiators are now designed to be more than just heat emitters.
Decorative radiators have evolved as an interior design component as well as providing high performance. From timeless, classics like the multi- column, to graceful lines and clean, utilitarian shapes that effortlessly fit into a kitchen or bathroom.
Many customers that walk into our showroom, be it end users, architects, interior designers or installers, aren’t sure of what they want, but know they need the latest technology coupled with design. They have ideas, like a colour pallet or fabric swatch, that influences thinking, but when it comes to functionality, we start with the specification of the room and what a heating solution needs to deliver in terms of optimal heat output and fit. From there, design elements become personal choice. A truly innovative radiator or towel rail stands out as an impeccable design when it functionally has purpose – only achieved by expertly understanding the need of the space its filling.
