ELLE Decoration Award for VitrA and Tom Dixon

The Liquid range by VitrA and Tom Dixon, inspired by pop art and Victorian bathrooms, has won another award, this time in the prestigious EDIDA 2022 awards. The winners are chosen by the

25 Editors in Chief of the ELLE Decoration international network. Liquid was voted winner in the Bathroom sector and was described as setting a new standard for the bathroom space. Liquid is the first bathroom

range by the British designer Tom Dixon and is a complete bathroom collection that includes basins, taps, showers, accessories, tiles, and furniture. Liquid features round-edged

aesthetics and soft forms. The pieces can be used together, or single items can be selected as a focal point. Recognising the current

obsession with slim, reduced designs, VitrA and Tom Dixon have created the opposite, incorporating

fatter, softer lines that are inspired by elements of pop art. While the overall design is reduced, the functionality is intuitive so that users can instinctively understand how to operate products such as taps and showers. The curved shapes make cleaning quick and easy – vital in the post-pandemic world.

feature Franke’s innovative new Sound Pro Blowers which offer noise reduction and a more pleasant operating sound. shaped design in an elegant mix of stainless steel and black glass. They offer three operating speeds plus an intensive setting with a quiet 68db sound level and an extraction rate of

750 m3/h when in intensive mode. They feature easy to use capacitative touch controls, adaptable LED lights, a 24-hour ventilation option and an Energy Efficiency Class A+ rating. Both are suitable for ducted extraction or recirculatory mode and are backed by a two-year warranty.

Stone-inspired glamour comes to the kitchen with two new ceramic surfaces from CRL Stone

E

nabling the luxurious look of marble and natural stones to be introduced

into the kitchen and bathroom with ease, CRL Stone has introduced two new styles into its Ceralsio Ceramic surface range, both inspired by this unabating trend. Boasting all the natural beauty of marble

combined with the many practical advantages of Ceralsio, Macchia Vecchia is a visually striking surface, available in a natural polished finish. With its distinctive gold veining, Macchia Vecchia can be bookmatched, transforming an island into a stunning focal point. Just as glamourous is Allure Black, the second of the two new Ceralsio colours. Full of depth

and with an air of mystery, this dark stone-inspired ceramic with its natural finish is brought to life with the light silvery grey veining that runs throughout its chocolate brown background. As versatile as they are beautiful, Macchia

Vecchia and Allure Black work in harmony with other organic elements in the modern or classic setting, from metals to glass and from brushed finishes to high gloss surfaces. With all the beauty of natural stone, Ceralsio

Ceramic is a highly durable, practical alternative that is suitable for kitchens and bathrooms. The surface is totally impermeable, completely stain and scratch resistant, very thermally stable and shock resistant. It is also UV resistant, making it the

ideal surface in areas with large windows as the colour will not fade over time. Macchia Vecchia and Allure Black require no

sealing, with just a mild detergent and warm water needed to keep the low maintenance surfaces sparkling clean. Prices from £400-£650 per square metre. For more information, brochures and free samples call CRL Stone or visit the website.
