Demand for larger walk-in showers is reshaping bathroom design, with a 2025 Houzz UK Bathroom Trends study finding that nearly three in five homeowners are increasing the size of their primary shower during renovations, with a quarter expanding by more than 50%.


This shift is encouraging architects and specifiers to consider materials that combine visual appeal with the durability required in larger showering spaces – with shower panels an ideal solution to the changing requirements. Despite challenging trading conditions


across much of the bathroom sector, waterproof wall panels are bucking the trend, experiencing growth and improved market share against traditional tiling. There has been a significant perception


shift towards panels over the past two decades, leading to wider acceptance
