I RICOH Pro VC80000, aka the Harpy Eagle

Ricoh Europe uses DryTac to make striking statement

R

icoh Europe has recently used Drytac’s Polar Grip film to transform the look of two of its leading machines at its European Customer Experience Centre in central England. The communications team used the avatars that are associated with each Ricoh printer to decorate the RICOH Pro Z75, known as the Dragon, and the RICOH Pro VC80000, which is known as the Harpy Eagle.

Ricoh paired Drytac’s Polar Grip, a polymeric self-adhesive PVC film, with Interlam Emerytex Pro, a pressure-sensitive over-laminating film, for added durability and safety.

Shane Barrett, pre-sales manager, Inkjet Solutions, EMEA High Speed Inkjet and Large-Format Print at Ricoh Europe Graphics Communications, said: “We selected Polar Grip because the paint job on both the Ricoh Pro Z75 and Ricoh Pro VC80000 have a textured finish, so wanted to be sure of a good adhesion of the vinyl.”

The designs were printed in-house on a RICOH Pro L5100e latex large-format printer before being applied to the two machines and installed ahead of the manufacturer’s Print Evolution Live event which took place in mid-November.

NFiLED opened its newest showroom in near London Gatwick Airport, Crawley, welcoming its clients, partners, and friends in the brand-new facility. The UK Experience Centre is the latest addition to INFiLED showrooms in the EMEA region, with experiential venues already in operation in Barcelona, Dubai and Frankfurt.

The centre will act as a central hub for sales, support and consultation
