Focus on Routers & Engravers Sabur Digital One cut above the rest
At Sabur, one of the key reasons we sell IECHO systems is the outstanding versatility and intelligence built into its tooling ecosystem. IECHO tools are engineered to simplify real-world production, giving operators the freedom to switch between materials and applications with ease. Whether you’re cutting textiles, cardboard, foam, vinyl, composites or mixed substrates, the same family of precision tools can be deployed across the TK4, SKII, BK4 and PK4 ranges – making your investment scalable and future-proof. What truly sets IECHO tools apart is its intelligent preset capability. Each tool – whether an oscillating knife, drag knife,
V-cut blade, kiss-cut tool, creasing wheel, rotary blade or router – has its own specific parameters in IECHO’s preset library of over 100 different material types. These presets allow operators to change from one material profile to another with a single click. This one-click multilayer application dramatically reduces setup time and removes the guesswork from complex jobs, especially when handling stacked materials or alternating between media. IECHO’s tooling design is also notably modular. Tools slot into universal holders, meaning upgrades,

additions or replacements are quick and seamless. For busy production environments, the consistency across tooling options, upgrades or replacement items ensures simplicity and confidence, as well as repeatable quality across the entire family of cutting tools. From a performance perspective, IECHO tools
deliver clean edges, tight tolerances, and stable cutting speeds, even on demanding materials. Sabur also pre-configures tool profiles to match a customer’s day-to-day substrate, ensuring they get immediate productivity as soon as the machine is installed. Ultimately, IECHO’s tooling ecosystem is about precision, efficiency, and confidence. By combining intelligent presets with universal compatibility, these tools enable the TK4, SKII, BK4 and PK4 machines to perform at their full potential – giving you faster turnaround times, reduced waste, and consistently superior results.

With the variety of grades of ACM now available, what may have been acceptable to cut with low quality or average tools in the past, suddenly becomes more challenging.
The Crown Norge MP Superior coated tools from LKH
Tools can assist with processing these materials. The Superior coating reduces heat building up during
cutting and acts as a non-stick coating to the tool, while vastly increasing tool life compared to an un-coated tool. The thickness of the coating from other tool manufacturers is generally thinner, meaning they may not last as long or perform as well over prolonged periods of time. The Superior coating has been applied to both routing tools and folding tools for ACM, giving customers more flexibility to process this material with a variety of diameters and angles. Typically 90-degree folding tools are the most popular, but
120-degree and 135-degree are also available for specific projects. When routing ACM, the 3mm and 4mm diameter tools prove the most popular for sign makers but they are also available in 2mm to 10mm diameters with the Superior coating. With cutting speeds of up to 18 to 20 m/min
Handling the toughest jobs
depending on the diameter, the cutting speed is nearly as impressive as the cut finish. These tools are designed for cutting solid aluminium without the need for coolant but perform exceptionally well in ACM. For folding ACM, the geometry of the tool
makes a huge difference to how it folds. The Crown Norge range includes both flat and radiuses with varying widths depending on the application. With cutting speeds of up to 30 m/min and a very impressive tool life, cut quality and accuracy when folding, the Crown Norge tools are unrivalled when the total economy is considered. For some ACM types, a fold radius which is too small will produce micro cracking on the front edge, resulting in a lighter colour when viewed. This has been resolved with a new tool geometry from
Crown Norge, which was approved by Mitsubishi Alpolic for their 4mm thick A1 core ACM in cladding applications. These also work perfectly in standard and fire rated
ACM. The new geometry produces an accurate fold with a larger fold radius on the front edge. This dramatically reduces the colour variation or micro
cracks that can appear if the fold is too sharp.
