Tiato invests in Canon and Mimaki technology with CMYUK

T

iato has announced the purchase of the Canon Colorado M5W and Mimaki

CJV200-160 printers from CMYUK. In the company’s latest investment, it purchased a Colorado M5W, Canon’s flagship 1.6m wide UVgel printer, and Mimaki CJV200-160 eco solvent printer. The UVgel printer offers speeds of up to 159m sq/hr coupled with a fully enclosed smart design, which has made Tiato’s workflow more efficient and faster, along with white UVgel ink and Canon’s FLXfinish+ option, which allows users to print high value applications.

Tim Tomblin, founder of Tiato, said: “The Canon Colorado has really sped this up [processing Ferro paper]; we’re now able to print four rolls a day, whereas before we were printing one roll overnight, and a single roll during the day, it’s ridiculous the time savings we’ve made on this.” The latest investment also included,

a new Mimaki CJV200-160, a roll-to-roll device with a single print head, delivering image clarity and detail up to 17m sq/hr. Mr Tomblin added: “The CJV200 is a nice upgrade. It’s quieter, very reliable, and fits our vehicle wrap work and specialist graphics perfectly.”
