The Printing Charity busts Blue Monday myth with helpline

T

he Printing Charity has used the myth of Blue Monday – supposedly the most

depressing day of the year – to help people understand the usefulness to reaching out for help. The popular myth claims that the third Monday in January, this year that’s January 19, is the most depressing day of the year.

Whatever you think about Blue Monday, there are some steps you can take to support your wellbeing, in and out of work, on Blue Monday, and every day of the year.

These include taking time to practice self-care having strong social connections inside and outside of work, taking proper breaks at work, setting boundaries and

asking for help.

Neil Lovell, Printing Charity CEO, said: “No-one can predict when they’re going to need help, but whenever that moment happens, we believe that everyone should have someone to turn to. This is why our helpline is here to support everyone in our sector, every day of the year.” The charity’s free, confidential and independent helpline provides in-the-moment emotional support 24 hours a day, every day, and can be reached on 0333 212 3534.

The Look Company achieves unprecedented eight-colour printing for large-scale graphics

T

he Look Company has redefined fabric printing capabilities with the introduction of eight-colour graphics, previously not available in the industry. For customers this will mean the ability to achieve graphics and visual displays with a larger range of colours, including notoriously challenging colours, such as ‘reflex blue’. The company’s investment in advanced printing practices will be put to immediate use on major projects, including graphics for the 2026 NHL Stadium Series, as well as for global retailers like Walmart.

The Look Company’s new printing capabilities will also improve its offerings in the following ways, including faster printing of fabric graphics, reduced energy consumption and centralised production across multiple locations for consistency. Jacob Burke, global CEO of The Look Company, said: “We believe that our
