ONPRINTSHOP Drupa saw the release of a new version of OnPrintShop W2P system with improved large-format features, and over 300 integrations with CRM, MIS and automation tools, plus templates for personalised print products.

allows for automatic, consecutive printing at the front and rear of the print bed.

The CFX-2531 has a cutting area of 3,190mm x 2,540mm, and can be operated from the front and rear of the table, increasing productivity by simultaneously loading two 8’ x 4’ sheets. Included is a table plane tracking function. In addition, the cutter can be equipped with up to four types of tools at once. The CFX-2531 forms part of Mimaki’s new CFX Series, which also includes two additional models - the CFX-2513 and the CFX-2550 - with a print table of 1,300mm x 2,540mm and 5,080mm x 2,540mm respectively.

OPTIMUS There’s been a lot of activity at Optimus of late, with a number of additions to its core MIS suite and new agreements to integrate its software with other specialist providers. A new Optimus Information Centre centralises a company’s entire business data into a single, intuitive hub - making it seamless to view, interrogate, analyse, export, or integrate information as needed. Beyond aggregating information, the new platform allows actions like linking data visualisations to Google Maps, launching emails without a separate client, and flexibly filtering datasets become turnkey capabilities. A new Mobile Customer Information Centre is a browser-based

platform providing instant access to current and historical customer information for staff on the move. Also new is Ask Optimus AI, which will ultimately enable you to ask questions about your data and obtain an answer in seconds. Optimus has signed an agreement with Element to allow PSPs to

import any spreadsheet into the Optimus system and automatically create quotes or jobs. The company has also signed a partnership with Carbon Quota, to enable PSPs to integrate their Optimus MIS with Carbon Quota.

PLASTGROMMET The Evolve Air&Wedge Welder was introduced at Fespa Global. As the name suggests, it features both hot air and hot wedge so it can hem, web tape, pole pocket, hem with cord and banner join at speeds of up to 20m/min.

RICOH

Note too that a new traffic sign printing system from Avery Dennison has a Mimaki UV printer at its core. The new TrafficJet Xpress Print System debuted at Intertraffic Amsterdam 2024 in April.

MUTOH

Ricoh’s first hybrid printer has been co-developed with Flora and is called the Flora X20 UV. The machine incorporates Ricoh MH5320 printheads, ColorGate Rip software and dedicated ICC profile portal with Ricoh Colorbase. The machine can run rigid and flexible media up to 2m wide and 5.1cm thick.

The 64in-wide HydrAton 1642 roll-to-roll printer from Mutoh has been collaboratively developed with Fujifilm to use its new Aquafuze ink technology, which combines the benefits of UV LED and water-based ink formulations for low-temperature drying and thus use with a wide-range of substrates. The top speed is 15m2

/h.
