The Vutek h+ series offers new optional colour configurations: CMYKcmyk + W + Clear, CMYK x 2 + 2W, and CMYK x 2 + Clear. Both UltraClear Coat and Endura Clear inks can be used for decorative applications as well as for a protective coating. In addition to the clear inks, an optional innovative Gloss+ print mode - a new software capability that regulates the curing process - can be used to add a flood or selective gloss effect to prints.


ELITRON Drupa 2024 saw the official unveiling of the next generation Kombo TAV fully automatic, integrated, digital cutting system. It is is available in two sizes: 3200 x 2200mm and 3200 x 1600mm. Depending upon the feeding and offloading configurations selected, the size of the complete, fully automated system will vary.


Multi-stack pallets of boards feed directly into the Kombo TAV, with individual sheets being loading, aligned, cut and creased, and then unloaded using the integrated Airo Panel to a palleted stack. Daniele Gallucci, Elitron America’s president, said the “system is not only ready for Industry 4.0 but it’s also ready for Industry 5.0 and future AI integration.”


ENFOCUS


Enfocus has made significant updates to PitStop and Griffin to streamline wide-format print production and is positioning Griffin as an alternative to Esko’s i-cut Layout for wide-format printers. For printers using Griffin, it’s now a case of opening a 1-Up file, sending it to PitStop Pro to add cut lines and bleed, performing preflight - or using any other PitStop feature - then saving to update the file in Griffin. New features with PitStop 24.03 includes Default Actions - new actions designed for colour management and large-format printing have been added, including detecting overlapping cut lines and reporting pages per colour type.


The updates to PitStop and Griffin also mark a new release cycle for the products, with feature enhancements three times a year.


EPSON


A couple of notable textile printers have also been added to the Epson portfolio. The 76in SureColor SC-F11000 and SC-F11000H offer up to 255m2


/hr printing, accommodate orange and violet ink, and include a


dryer, PrecisionCore Micro TFP printheads, auto-adjustment technology including an integrated RGB camera, auto tension control, and user- replaceable parts, including printheads. 10l or 3l ink boxes are supported by a ‘hot-swap’ function. And there’s a Jumbo Roll (300kg maximum roll weight) option. The new 7-colour, 185cm wide Monna Lisa ML-13000 direct-to-fabric textile printer is equipped with re-treatment, over-coating, and density enhancer. It has 13 Epson PrecisionCore MicroTFP printheads and runs at up to 131m2/hr in 600x600dpi - 2 pass mode, 87m2/hr in 900x600dpi - 3 pass mode, and 63m2/hr in 1200x600dpi - 4 pass mode. The printer uses Genesta pigment ink (black, cyan, magenta, yellow,


red, green, orange), pre treatment liquid, over-coating liquid, density enhancer liquid. The inks come in 1.6l hot-swappable vacuum-packs and meet various environmental standards including Eco Passport. Nozzle verification technology detects missing dots and adjusts ink delivery accordingly.


The ML-13000 features symmetrical colour alignment for consistent colour overlap during bidirectional printing, and belt position control technology automatically detects the belt feeding distance to ensure highly precise fabric feeding. There’s also an automatic calibration RGB camera.


EUROLASER


Announced in April and available in the UK from August is the SureColor SC-P20500 - the successor to the SureColor SC-P20000 large-format production printer. The new 64in machine offers a 12-colour inkset with orange, green and violet, and a switchable black-enhanced overcoat mode. The SC-P20500 offers the same 8-pass print speed (19.2m2


/h) as


the SC-P20000 but has faster data processing and a 1.6-litre ink pack which approximately halves the number of ink changes compared to its predecessor. The newcomer has Nozzle Verification Technology, spindleless loading and intuitive operation via a 4.3in touchscreen.


New from Eurolaser is a Twin Table System with permanent vacuum. The finishing system is available in various configurations - including manual, semi-manual and fully automatic - and it can be used in conjunction with the Eurolaser base system, XL-1600. Movable material carriers enable continuous loading and unloading
