THE RACE IS ON
VEHICLE WRAPPING IS ENJOYING A GROWTH SPURT, SO SHOULD YOU BE AT SILVERSTONE RACE CIRCUIT FOR WRAPFEST THIS OCTOBER TO SEE WHAT’S DRIVING THIS LUCRATIVE MARKET?
each day, covering graphics wrapping to paint protection films to racing team installations, so it’ll be worth noting your ‘must attend’ sessions ahead of your visit. The full pit demo agenda will be announced in the coming weeks.
According to data from Straits Research the market for automotive wrap films will be worth over $25bn by 2030, with Europe a key region when it comes to the anticipated growth. So, whether you’re already into vehicle wrapping and enjoying the spoils of the increasing interest in what promises to be a lucrative sector, or have been taking a more backseat approach, getting to WrapFest this October seems a sensible way to go. The first iteration of this Fespa organised event ran last year and got great reviews. The 2024 WrapFest promises even more to attract a diverse crowd of attendees, including not only vehicle wrapping specialists but fleet businesses, race teams, agencies, surface decorators and detailers etc., making it a networking pit stop as much as a fast lane learning experience. With over 50 exhibitors and 75 brands expected to
participate (including some of the biggies like 3M, Avery Dennison, HP
, William Smith, and specialist companies
such as Signgeer, Kala SAS, General Formulations) WrapFest 2024 will showcase products, tools and solutions for the vehicle wrapping community, though the draw for many visitors will be the live demos, wrapping competitions and talks programme. Here’s what you can expect as a visitor - and in some cases, participant.

WORLD WRAP MASTERS The UK leg of Fespa’s well-established World Wrap Masters will once again return to WrapFest, with HP the official headline print partner of the competition and wrap manufacturer Carlas as its product partner. Up to 20 wrappers will battle it out in a series of creative rounds over the two day the event, with the winner going on to compete at the World Wrap Masters Final in at Fespa Global in Berlin, Germany in May 2025. The judges - including Ole Solskin, Ivan Tenchev, and Kiss Lajos - will task this year’s participants with dedicated challenges using printed media, colour change, and new for 2024, PPF materials. Participant registration for the competition closes on 26 September - one week before the event - but be warned that places tend to fill up quickly, so that closing date may move forward if the slots all get taken ahead of time. The final line-up will be announced a few days before the competition, provided all competitors agree to share this information! If you don’t want to take part, you can always just watch.
WRAP WARRIOR BATTLE The Wrap Institute, will be putting on various contests throughout the event for visitors to put their wrapping skills to the test, including the popular ‘3M Wrap The Dots’.
SHOW AND SHINE Visitors are invited - at the time of booking their tickets - to enter the Show and Shine competition where their own wrapped vehicle will be on display and voted for by show attendees and the World Wrap Masters judges. More than ten vehicles per day will be displayed in the forecourt of WrapFest, with two winners announced each day for the People’s Choice award (for the best looking wrap as voted for by visitors to WrapFest) and the Judges’ Choice award (who will take into account design and application). Winners will receive an award and prize.
SURFACE DECORATION SHOWCASE A brand-new feature at WrapFest 2024, and with a specialist space in Hall 2, will be a zone dedicated to surface decoration.
At the time of going to press, details were still
sketchy, but the idea is that alongside a showcase of products for interior spaces - including furniture wraps, window films, wall coverings, and window tinting solutions - independent trainers will demonstrate various surface decoration solutions and help attendees to get hands-on experience with the latest materials.
