MultiPress 6.0 Sirius, which specifically includes new features for sign and large-format companies, was introduced at Fespa Global 2024, and follows on the back of MultiPress 5.4 Polaris. It includes Order Manager 2.0 tools for checking and repairing incoming files, driving the proofing flow with tracking approvals, and assigning files to specific print production and finishing processes - all from an intuitive dashboard. A Display Wizard has also been introduced, which enables users to perform faster calculations of displays and their specific parts, manage designs and cutting frames, keep an overview during material reservation, print production and finishing processes, and to group all elements during assembly and dispatch. Also new to MultiPress 6.0 Sirius is a revamped MultiPress App first introduced in 2019, and which allows sign and large- format installers to track every assembly job in real time. Dataline is also strengthening its partnership with Agfa (re Asanti),

OneVision, Caldera (re PrimeCenter), Onyx and others. It is also expanding its integration with Antalis’ online ordering platform within MultiPress. This collaboration has been successful in Belgium and the Netherlands for some time and is now being rolled out to other European countries.

At Fespa Global 2024 EFI showed the Vutek Q3h XP 3.3m-wide flatbed/ roll-fed LED printer, plus the next generation 3.2m EFI Pro 33r roll-to-roll LED printer. The Vutek Q3h XP runs at up to 905m2

/hr and features board/sheet

and roll-to-roll media handling and high-speed automation options. It is available with four (CMYK) or six (CMYK, lc, lk) colours and optional white and clear inks.

The EFI Pro 33r is based on the Pro 32r+ platform, with notable enhancements to overall printer performance - it has a top print speed of 260m2

/hr and offers up to 35% speed increase in POP mode. Using

new 5pL Ricoh Gen-6 printheads, the printer’s other standard features include an integrated mesh kit for printing on porous substrates, a wrinkle analyser to help avoid printhead strikes, built-in backlit proofing lights, and a built-in Fiery DFE. Options include white and clear (UltraClear Coat) inks, Y-slitters, automatic blockout and backlit printing. The above introductions followed on the heels of the EFI Vutek h3+ and h5+ hybrid flatbed/roll-fed LED printers - re-engineered versions of the high-volume, superwide-format hybrid Vutek h series. Media handling improvements are one of the most notable enhancements, plus there’s an upgraded vacuum table. All new media hold-down rollers mount to existing Media Edge Guide (MEG) rails and the spring rollers force media into the vacuum, often eliminating the need for MEG skis entirely. When MEG skis are needed, they are now available in 0.063 in, 0.094 in, and 0.012 in thicknesses.
