No need to knacker your knees with proper protection in place
If your work has you on your knees, your joints can really take a hit. But Carhartt’s new certified Interoperable Kneepads – which will be available for purchase by mid-May – offer the protection and comfort professional tradespeople need to stay on the job without injury or strain.
For all trades Whether fitting pipes, laying flooring, working in lofts or under sinks, kneeling on unprotected knees can lead to pain, long- term injuries and time off the job. That’s why Carhartt has introduced its Interoperable Kneepads (107552), designed to deliver sturdy protection without compromising comfort or mobility. Described as ‘super-light’, these knee
pads are ergonomically designed to flexibly fit around the knee and are certified to EN 14404-4:2024, helping to reduce injuries caused by continuous pressure and sharp objects when kneeling. Made from lightweight polyethylene foam, they offer optimal pressure distribution while maintaining their shape, ensuring reliable protection throughout the workday.
Light and mobile Weighing just 70g apiece and measuring 248 x 18 x 150mm, these knee pads fit securely into a range of Carhartt’s certified Steel Pants (105070, 105072, 105074, 105075) and other Carhartt workwear that have knee pad pockets. Developed and manufactured in Germany, these kneepads are easy to insert

Drain down package to prevent mess
The German brand Derblaue offers a complete set designed for draining and servicing heating systems. The set features the Professional Tub, a heavy-duty collecting basin designed to collect liquids quickly and cleanly, even in tight spaces. The included slide and two splash guards ensure that no mess hits the floor, protecting the customer’s property – and your reputation. Also part of the set is a powerful waste water pump and smart accessories that turn
a chaotic draining process into a smooth, one-person operation – said to be ten times faster and far more professional. The company says heating engineers who use Derblaue report not only cleaner results, but also faster turnaround times and fewer callbacks. ◼

and remove and can be handwashed to keep them in good condition. Knee injuries can sideline even the most
experienced tradesperson. Investing in knee protection keeps you comfortable, protects your body and helps you stay fit for work for the long haul. Carhartt’s Interoperable Kneepads provide reliable, lightweight and certified protection so that tradespeople can focus on the job at hand without worrying about their knees.
t Carhartt’s newest innovation in PPE is the Interoperable Kneepads that are ergonomically designed to reduce injuries caused by continuous pressure and sharp objects when kneeling
A leg up on kneepads Santie de Klerk, Carhartt’s senior market merchandiser, explains what sets these new kneepads apart: “After years of development, wear tester trials and going back to the drawing board, we finally have landed on these kneepads. Carhartt Steel workwear pants, with the same standard, were released in 2024. So, by adding the new kneepads to our Steel Workpants, you now benefit from the EN 14404-4:2024 type 2, level 1 protection. “What does this mean? The new
standards specify the position and dimensions of the permanently attached kneepad pocket on the leg of the Steel pants to match with the shape and dimensions of the kneepad. When kneeling, the kneepad stays in position for comfort and mobility and prevents the knee from slipping off the kneepad. “The norm calls for a density and
also a penetration strength up to 100N when working on a smooth surface, with loose object of maximum 10mm. A material durability test is also performed to ensure that the kneepads can withstand wear and tear under specifying conditions.” ◼
