GENDER PARITY IN THE CHANNEL
In a field traditionally dominated by men, Holly Anschutz, director of channel UK&I has carved a successful path for herself in the technology channel industry. With over three decades of experience, she’s risen through the ranks to become a director of channel at Extreme Networks. In this interview, Holly delves into her journey, the challenges she faced along the way, and insights into what industry leaders can do to foster greater diversity and inclusion in the channel.
Tell us about your career journey and current role at Extreme Networks. I’ve been immersed in the IT and AV industry for over 30 years, primarily working in channel-based roles. My journey at Extreme began around 7 years ago as a Senior Channel Business Manager, a role I now oversee. I was then elevated to the Head of Channel role, and I am now the Director of Channel in UK&I. In this role, my main focus is building a high-performing team and aligning our efforts with our distribution network’s goals.

Did you always envision yourself in a leadership role within the Channel industry? My career path wasn’t planned. I fell into IT through a job opportunity at a distributor. As I progressed in my role and gained more experience, I realised that I had a knack for problem-solving and building relationships. Tese skills naturally led me towards leadership positions. It wasn’t about ambition in the traditional
