News Hammer Distribution partners with Nexsan

HAMMER DISTRIBUTION has formed a strategic partnership with Nexsan, a global provider of high-performance storage systems.

Effective immediately, Hammer Distribution will serve as an official distributor for Nexsan across Europe. The agreement integrates Nexsan’s storage and data protection platforms into Hammer’s EMEA network, targeting resellers and enterprises requiring high-density, secure, and energy-efficient data infrastructure.

The partnership is positioned to address the increasing infrastructure demands of AI, analytics, and High-Performance Computing (HPC) across the European market. By adding Nexsan’s portfolio, Hammer aims to provide partners with the foundational storage necessary for data-intensive workloads, including GPU-driven compute environments and large-scale research models.

The collaboration focuses on three core Nexsan product lines: • Unity NV-Series: Multi-protocol performance designed for high- bandwidth AI pipelines.

Simwood launches WhatsApp

for business voice integration SIMWOOD has introduced WhatsApp for Business voice integration across its global software-defined carrier network, enabling enterprises to connect directly with more than three billion WhatsApp users worldwide. The new service allows seamless routing of voice calls between WhatsApp and unified communications platforms such as Microsoft Teams and SIP-based systems, while also supporting two-way messaging through Simwood’s API and AI-driven conversational agents.

The integration, now live on Simwood’s production infrastructure, is designed to help carriers, managed service providers, and platform operators deliver secure, verified, and encrypted communications. It combines high-quality voice and messaging with advanced features including call recording, sentiment analysis, and conversational AI, offering businesses new opportunities to differentiate and monetise omni- channel services. CEO Simon Woodhead said the move brings WhatsApp into the carrier ecosystem, removing friction and unlocking new revenue streams without disrupting existing workflows. CTO Charles Chance added that the integration reflects Simwood’s API-first approach, giving partners tools to build agile, unified communications services and accelerate enterprise adoption.

The service is available globally on any verified WhatsApp for Business account, with compliance safeguards in place and restrictions on direct WhatsApp-to-PSTN routing under Meta’s current policy.

Kodak Alaris and UT³ forge strategic alliance

KODAK ALARIS and UT³, a Xenith company, have announced a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating intelligent document processing and AI adoption across regulated industries. The collaboration will see UT³ integrate Kodak Alaris scanners with the KODAK Info Input Solution, enabling organisations to unlock hidden value in their data, streamline workflows, and enhance IT investment opportunities. UT³ will introduce a multi-stage AI Maturity Assessment to help financial services, insurance, banking, and legal organisations evaluate their current document capture processes, identify their position on the AI maturity curve, and maximise the value of captured data for improved compliance, productivity, and operational efficiency. Kodak Alaris’ solutions combine high-speed image capture with OCR, forms recognition, classification, and intelligent data extraction, dramatically reducing the time needed to transform paper and electronic documents into actionable information. Built on an Open Intelligence design, Info Input Solution deploys pre-trained models directly into workflows, supported by Kodak Alaris’ professional services and after- sales expertise. Stuart Cassidy, Head of Business at UT³, said the partnership will help organisations transition from manual processes to streamlined, data-driven workflows: “Together we will deliver end-to-end solutions that tie directly into a customer’s AI journey, enabling faster decision- making and actionable analytics.”
