From our experience, we have seen a real challenge
for vendors who have built their businesses on regular product upgrades. Terefore, they are having to rethink and understand their responsibility to the planet. Tere is a high level of hypocrisy between business models and eco- messaging, so practice what you preach!
What is involved in Agilitas’ wider sustainability pledge? We have created the three Pillars of Sustainability to keep us on top of our efforts. Tis includes Planet, People and Partners. For each pillar, we have different goals and activities to make sure we are giving back to our environment. For example, when looking at the planet, we want to source from more localised supply chains. For people, we are working as a community to give back to our environment and then for partners, as a company, we want to ensure that our customers are also hitting their green initiatives.
What measures in your personal life do you undertake towards a more sustainable lifestyle? Developing this pledge has been a real eye-opener for me and I have learnt a lot from the team on not only what we could do better as a business, but also what I can do to support the efforts of the business. Although we have been supporting the planet, people and partners for many years, it’s been nice to put a more eco-focus on these areas. Terefore, my goal is to take my learning’s back home and implement Agilitas’ sustainability commitments into my own lifestyle.
How does the company invest in it’s employees wellbeing’? We have plenty of investments that we have for our employees, but recognising and rewarding great work is at the core of the business. We host a quarterly and annual PRIDE Awards to recognise and celebrate the hard work of all employees who demonstrate the core values of Passion, Respect, Innovate, Deliver and Embrace. Nominated and voted for by team members, it is a great opportunity to acknowledge the individuals who are going the extra mile and demonstrating our core values. With our new sustainability goals and initiatives, we believe in celebrating our team success and awarding those who have contributed to our pledge. Involving the entire Agiliteam with all our sustainability initiatives will help us to build a greener culture.
