NEWS HUB SRAM Announces New Manufacturing Facility in Portugal
SRAM plans to build a new, full-product manufacturing facility in Coimbra, Portugal, expanding the company’s global manufacturing footprint and deepening its long-term commitment to Europe.
SRAM says this investment will enhance its ability to serve European OEM and AM partners while improving sustainability, flexibility, and supply-chain resilience.
The purpose-built 25,000 square- meter (270,000 square-foot) facility
will bring SRAM’s full manufacturing capability to Europe, including assembly, testing, and comprehensive quality operations. This will enable local production of SRAM’s complete component portfolio.
The investment is expected to create
more than 500 high-skilled jobs across manufacturing, engineering, quality, and operations. SRAM will partner with local institutions to support workforce development and community engagement.
The Coimbra facility is expected to begin phased operations in 2028, with production capacity ramping through 2032. SRAM chain, TIME pedal, and Zipp wheel assembly will remain in their current separate Coimbra facilities.
Nukeproof Appoints Seven Additional International Distributors

Pivot Cycles Names Mohawk’s UK Ltd as
PIVOT CYCLES has announced that Mohawk’s UK Limited has been appointed as the brand’s official distributor in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The partnership brings Pivot’s full lineup of bikes — including the all-new AMP’d, Pivot’s Avinox-equipped eMTB to UK and Irish retailers through an established and dedicated distribution infrastructure. Mohawk’s UK Limited operates out of Warwick, England and is well-positioned to support Pivot dealers across the region with stock, service and sales support.
