With over a decade in the wheel market, which recently resulted in a three-year WorldTour partnership with Netcompany INEOS, how would you define the journey since 2014? What was the original ethos when founding the company, and how have things developed over the years? When we founded Scope Cycles in 2014, both co-founders, Rik and I, came from a cycling background and were passionate riders ourselves. At the time, carbon wheel technology was still relatively early in its development.

We saw a market where prices were extremely high, while product quality and reliability often failed to meet riders’ expectations. We recognised an opportunity to do things differently.
From day one, Scope has been a product-driven company with a strong focus on innovation and engineering. Rather than simply sourcing existing components and assembling wheels, we chose to develop our own rims, hubs and technologies in-house. This allowed us to create products
