Bicycle Association announces new partnership offering consumer finance for cycling industry
THE Bicycle Association has announced a new finance partner Novuna, to offer consumer finance options to the cycle trade. As part of the new partnership the Bicycle Association, a national trade association for the UK cycle industry, now aims to help bike retailers offer consumer finance at a time when household spending is being squeezed by the cost of living crisis. Novuna Consumer Finance, the new name for Hitachi Capital
Consumer Finance, is a leading provider of point of sale finance and personal loans, and currently works with 3,5000 retailers from high street chains to e-commerce retailers.

cycle retailers already part of the BA’s Investors in Cycling scheme will be given access to competitive retail finance. ●
Extra UK and Cyclex announce distribution of nutrition brand NamedSport
EXTRA UK has announced the addition of NamedSport into the Extra and Cyclex family. NamedSport, a familiar face in Grand Tours as the primary nutrition partner, began in 2014 after forming a partnership with Named S.r.l., a natural medicine company in Italy. The ethos of the company is to produce the “best possible nutrition and supplements for sportspeople using only the best raw materials and ingredients”. The brand offers a range of nutrition for use
before, during and after activity in the form of its bars, gels and recovery products.
Batribike launches new Dealer Loyalty Scheme for 2023
BATRIBIKE has launched a new Dealer Loyalty Scheme for 2023, which will reward dealers with discount vouchers to spend on subsequent bike purchases. Luke Pearson, managing director, said: “We value our dealers, and look for different ways to support them, if they are selling bikes, then we are too. “Following the success of our Autumn offer, we wanted to
create something that was beneficial to both Batribike and our loyal dealers. The new scheme gives dealers extra discount on top of the existing margins.” When a dealer buys a bike with battery, and pays within
terms, they are issued with a voucher to the value of 10% of that invoice. The voucher can then be used against future bike purchases and is valid for three months from issue. ●

TANDEM Group Cycles has announced a partnership agreement with Quella Bikes to become the exclusive national distributor for the urban bike brand. Peter Kimberley, group CEO
