BikeBiz Awards 2023 Woman of the Year winner Caroline Goward has been in the cycling industry for more than two decades. She speaks to Rebecca Morley on what’s changed in that time

ach year the BikeBiz Woman of the Year award celebrates women across the cycling industry who have had a marked impact on what is and has been


a very male-dominated space. And BikeBiz’s Woman of the Year 2023 Caroline Goward, who has been at Scott Sports since 2003, was Raleigh’s first female rep when she joined the British bike manufacturer some 25 years ago. Speaking to BikeBiz on her start in the cycling industry, Goward said: “After I’d finally realised I didn’t want to continue on the Sainsbury’s retail management path, I wanted to control my own destiny a bit, without staff letting me down, and thought sales was a much better option.
