professional peloton. We do this by donating a percentage of our sales to non-profit organisations through dedicated projects like ‘Pedal for Pride’, the ‘Lynx Trail’, the ‘Super Future Females’ and ‘The School of Rocks’. Not only that, we work with various partners to bring activations to the local community encouraging more people to get onto their bikes whether that is our own ride initiatives, the Women’s Weekenders we support with Komoot or local groups such as the Cyclits and Frauenrenradbewegung that affect positive change in their area. We also support a small ambassador programme that serves
to inspire the IRIS community and is primarily made up of individuals and groups invested in the betterment of cycling, making the sport a more inclusive and accessible space for everybody.
Although we have a small production run we want our products to be worn by as many people as possible and are very proud to offer a wide range of sizing: xxs - xxxl and our real-life fit guide.
What feedback have you received? We have received some great reviews from the cycling press. We have a small network of retailers around the globe and they tell us that they really like our style and quality of the products. We would love to be available in more cycling shops and cafés and continue to search for stockists but we understand that the retail market is particularly tough right now. Our customers really appreciate us creating products specifically driven by the needs of women, our inclusive sizing, the quality and touch of our products (which are very soft) and the wide range of models we use in our photoshoots. Our most recent review from Road cc of our new bib tights said: “They are some of the best winter bib tights I’ve worn, with an excellent easy-pee design, practical mesh pockets and

supportive chamois, on top of breathable fabrics and quality of construction all going a long way to justifying the premium price tag.”
What are the plans for 2024 and beyond? 2024 is an exciting and busy year for IRIS. On the product side we have our new spring/summer collection ‘The Outroverts’ which, in keeping with previous collections, is guaranteed to turn heads.
It is inspired by the experiences that shape us, and our
latest designs are just as versatile as those who wear them, constantly evolving with life in motion. We’ve mixed and matched shapes, symbols and colours
to create unique and bold patterns with every combination, enabling wearers to express their unique layers. We will also of course have our autumn/winter collection later on in the year and we have some exciting limited edition collaborations in progress so watch this space. We have a number of events planned for the IRIS community. First up, we have two Women’s Weekenders in collaboration with Komoot organised for June, one in Germany and one in the Netherlands, which will build on the success of our activity last year, making bikepacking accessible to all. We have some Tour de France Femmes plans in progress, more detail will be shared across our channels. We will also be hosting rides in the UK, Germany and Netherlands to introduce people to IRIS and attendees will be able to test our products and ask us questions. Beyond these events we are dedicated to making more products that will give women, those identifying as women or basically anyone who loves our apparel and wants to wear it, more fun and confidence to ride their bike.
