Big Red Sales says ‘thank you’ to the NHS

Big Red Sales has pledged its support for the NHS with donations to GP surgeries and a local hospital. Around £5,000 worth of kitchen appliances and televisions were donated after the Founder

and Director of the sales company, John Reddington, had a very personal experience. His wife, Chris, was diagnosed with late stages of colon cancer earlier this year. Due

to COVID-19 restrictions they were not able to take advantage of their private health insurance but instead used local health services. Said Mr Reddington: “The NHS came up trumps and whisked Chris into hospital for various

tests and scans. At first, like many other people, she was worried about the ongoing pandemic, however the GP assured her she would be safe. “As a result of her quick diagnosis and the NHS treatment at Wexham Park Hospital, Chris

had an operation to remove the growth and is now nearing the end of a series of successful chemo treatments. We are greatly indebted to the quick action of our GP and the NHS.” By way of a huge thank you, the businessman decided to use the refund he received

from Bupa together with his own donation to give something back to NHS front line staff. Mr Reddington then called upon Roberts Radio plus two Big Red Sales brands,

Morphy Richards and Mitchell & Brown, to enhance the donation even further. Product has now been delivered to two doctors practices and to Wexham Park Hospital in Buckinghamshire where staff are now enjoying new kettles, toasters,

microwaves, TVs and radios in their break rooms and family areas. Commented Francesca Palliser, Hospital and Events Fundraising Officer at Wexham

Park and Heathwood Frimley Health Charity: “The staff are so grateful for the support John and his family have offered the hospital. In these difficult times, Big Red Sales and its manufacturers have been incredibly generous and their continuous support is invaluable.”
