The ERT Awards 2021 – entries still open!

Entries for the 2021 ERT Awards are still open – so get writing and tell us why your store or your product should win! We’ll be bringing together retailers and suppliers once

again at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London’s Covent Garden this October to recognise excellence across the electrical retail industry.

Entries are open for this year’s ERT Awards. Head to

www.ertawards.co.uk for the full list of categories and submit your entry today! Simply follow the ‘CLICK HERE’ button on the

home page, select your category/categories, supply your supporting information and media, and add your contact details. Read our tips for a top entry on page 14 of this issue.

For retailers – it’s important you write a great entry statement for the judges and provide any additional relevant information, such as your background, about your business and shopfloor, your digital platforms, your staff or your customer service. For manufacturers – it’s the retailers that will decide which

products and services win (via ERT's unique voting platform), so provide as much information as you can. The full judging criteria for each of the award categories

is available on the ERT Awards website: www.ertawards.co.uk.

All the winners will be announced at the live ERTAwards

ceremony in London in October! If you have any questions, you can get in touch with

the team via marketing@ertonline.co.uk or jackcheeseman@ertonline.co.uk.

Sirius Buying Group says next Digital Conference will be “even bigger and better”

Sirius Buying Group is taking its annual Conference to the virtual stage on 24 June 2021. Following the success of its debut virtual event in October last year, the buying group

has said the next one will be “even bigger, better and more interactive”. Steve Jones, Managing Director at Sirius Buying Group, told ERT he is really excited

about hosting the Conference as a digital event and he is pleased to be supporting the industry with a platform that enables the Group’s Approved Members and Suppliers to meet safely and confidently to network and plan for the future. “Offering the chance to virtually discuss exclusive promotions and talk about how we

can all work closely together in 2021,” said Mr Jones, “we hope this continued level of ‘group protection’ will provide the independent retailer with a range of sustainable business solutions so they can navigate out of lockdown and are equipped to face other challenges head on.

    “We have all had an incredible learning curve over the past 12 months and I am extremely

proud of how our industry has risen to new challenges in practical and innovative ways.” Mr Jones also confirmed that, conditions permitting, the Group’s physical Trade Show and Gala Dinner will return on 22 September 2021 at The Forest of Arden.
