revealed scratches and cleaning are the biggest frustrations consumers experience when purchasing hobs. “With this in mind, we are excited to launch this new, highly anticipated induction hob. Available in independent electrical retailers later this year, the SaphirMatt Hob has been created with key kitchen design trends, such as coloured finishes and minimalist, multi- functional spaces in mind.” Mr White also adds that touch-screen panels on appliances are another design feature gaining in popularity. Quickly replacing command wheels and rotary controls, they offer a more modern look, appealing to consumers looking for both style and functionality in their appliances. “Electrical retailers are a big part of our business, and they are one of the key reasons we continue to have such success,” says Mr White. They are a key touchpoint for consumers and promote immense influence on the buying decision through in-person advice or demonstrations of products, in-store.”
Smart solutions Over at Haier, its new X SERIES 11 washing and drying range stands out thanks to a series of cutting-edge innovations, such as Ultra Fresh Air technology – a system of continuous air inflow into the drum to refresh the garments, keeping the environment dry and preventing the spread of bacteria and unpleasant odours for up to 12 hours with the closed drum at the end of the cycle. Its Direct Motion motor ensures energy
efficiency up to A-rated 40 per cent, and thanks to its Dual Engine Inverter motor, the SERIES 11 tumble dryer achieves the highest level of efficiency, and the best drying results thanks to the Full Reverse Drum, which ensures even drying and prevents garment twisting due to two-way motion of equal measure. Alternatively, Hisense has two launches coming to the premium cooling sector this year. The first is a new refrigerator, which features a smart screen and acts as a hub for the kitchen and allows consumers to add a more personal touch to the kitchen.
Enabling them to sync up food storage, sending or receiving messages to or from a smartphone, the screen also features many distinct innovations such as screen sharing, impressive recipes, a message board and a personalised photo album.

Alongside its new smart functionality fridge is its non-plumbed water and ice dispenser for cool water on request. Its model also features ‘My Fresh Choice’ to allow a smooth transition from freezer to fridge to suit any consumer needs. The new dark interior of the model also ensures a premium finish and offers 99.9 per cent anti-bacterial protection. Matthew Glynn, Product Marketing Manager for Hisense UK, says: “The second launch we have is the KitchenFit RQ768N4GBE model – a multidoor fridge freezer with a difference. Packed with the usual Hisense cooling technology, this model has a semi-integrated appearance, known as KitchenFit, which aims to utilise and maximise the space within the kitchen and optimise food freshness in one. He explains that Hisense is taking a multiphase
approach to the premium market, firstly focusing on advanced technology designed to make the everyday tasks easier for consumers. And secondly, it is focusing on its new product
development on design and quality. Achieving all this whilst keeping its premium products at an accessible price point is a key aim for the brand, according to Mr Glynn. ASKO’s newest launch is its Pearl Grey Elements range which consists of ovens, hobs, cooker hoods, coffee machines and warming and vacuum drawers. Its new appliances feature a full colour high definition TFT display, providing users with the best possible overview of its available functions. Jessica Rhodes, Product and Marketing Manager at ASKO, comments: “Our new range draws on inspiration from the volcanic rocks and majestic fjords of Scandinavia. The colour favours warm, grey, earthy tones that elegantly integrate with contemporary kitchen styles and combine beautifully with a wide range of materials such as wood, granite, marble and ceramics. “Pearl Grey has an understated elegance that strikes the perfect balance between blending in and standing out.” >>
