Sony and ERTER join forces join forces to host TV training sessions


Sony and to host TV training sessions


Sony UK and Ireland has partnered with ERT to host one of its latest online training videos – all about the 2024 BRAVIA TV range. Head of Training, Jason Clark, tells us more about Sony’s support of the independent retail channel with its comprehensive training platforms.


S


ony offers a wide range of learning opportunities including online videos and certified face-to-face training courses. Most of the manufacturer’s courses are designed to teach specific skills; they show how to operate a particular Sony product, use a Sony system or solution, or understand certain technology. Here, Jason Clark, Head of Training at Sony UK and Ireland, talks to ERT about the various courses the company offers and the different delivery methods available. He explains the company hopes to increase the availability and accessibility of our training content “We regularly run in-person training at the


Weybridge office where we have new training facilities and demo rooms,” he explains. “It’s great to welcome colleagues to Sony UK HQ and allow them to get hands on with our TV and soundbar products.


“Today’s technology is constantly evolving and with so much information available I feel it is our responsibility to make sure that our partners are armed with as much knowledge as possible. I firmly believe that the more confident you are when talking about products with customers the easier the sales process will be.”


Mr Clark adds: “I hope that by sharing as much product information as possible with our partners it ultimately helps them to convert more sales… Sony sales of course!”


This year the Sony Training Team have incorporated more physical product into their training sessions, so while they still spend time covering the finer technical details of each model, they also feel it is really important to provide attendees with hands on experience with TV and soundbar demonstrations. “We hope this will allow our partners to get a better understanding of the truly great products that we are bringing to market in 2024 and beyond,” says Mr Clark.
