OPTIMUM, a member of Euronics, is part of the Seventy One Group, with stores in Haywards Heath and Southwick.


I was looking to buy a range cooker. Inside the


store, I was greeted by Joanne. I explained that I was renovating my kitchen and had created the space for a wide range cooker. Joanne said that range cookers come in 90cm, 100cm and 110cm widths. I said that I’d be interested in a 110cm wide model with an induction hob.

She showed me a cranberry Rangemaster model (Elan Deluxe), which was priced at £2,704 and said that it features a fi ve-zone induction hob, a multifunction electric fan oven, second electric fan oven, grill and proving drawer. She picked up a Rangemaster quick guide and highlighted another model, the Classic Deluxe, which was priced at £2,078. Joanne said that if the product is in stock, it can be delivered within two weeks; if it needs to be made to order, then it could take between four and six weeks.


Nespresso Micro Boutique, Albion Way,


Horsham THIS store is located in the foyer of the John Lewis at Home store, while the Nespresso coffee machines are displayed on the ground fl oor. I was looking to buy a Nespresso coffee machine. Inside the store and I saw the stunning coffee display in the foyer and a freestanding sign that indicated that purchasers of a Vertuo machines could receive gifts worth over £80. I located the Nespresso machines and quickly


realised that there were no members of staff in the immediate vicinity. On closer inspection, the Vertuo offer included fi ve Vertuo coffee sleeves, a personalised Moleskine notebook and a Caran d’Ache Nespresso pen, made from Nespresso recycled capsules. The Nespresso Vertuo Plus coffee machine, and Aeroccino, was priced at £170. The price ticket indicated that the machine features a man- ual milk function and three years added cover is available for £20. After fi ve minutes of browsing, I left the store.

Robert Dyas, South Road, Haywards


Heath ON this visit, I was looking to buy a food processor. Inside the store, I was greeted by Tom and made my way to the electricals area, which is by the till. The food processor on display was from Russell Hobbs (Inspire Matte Black), but it was unpriced. I asked Carol, who was standing behind the till, to help me with the price and, after scanning it, told me it was priced at £59.99. Reading the features off the box, the food


processor offered two speeds and a pulse setting, a 2.5-litre processing bowl, with 1.5-litre usable capacity.


The box indicated that the model comes with a


1.5-litre capacity jug and a number of accessories, including a stainless steel blade, reversible slicing/ shredding disc, dough hook and creaming disc accessories. Another product that caught my eye was a stand


mixer from Morphy Richards, which, again, was not priced. Carol scanned it and said it was priced at £59.99.
