AND FINALLY
VELUX Group cycles up to Tour de France sponsorship
The VELUX Group is to be an official partner of the Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes with Zwift for the next three years, putting the VELUX brand on the backs of every rider. “Both VELUX and Tour de France have strong legacies and the ability to reinvent ourselves and we share the value that success comes from teamwork, persistence and excellence,” said Lars Petersson, CEO of the VELUX Group.
“This partnership makes great sense for VELUX. It’s perfectly aligned with our brand promise and provides an ideal platform to take it to a global audience. We see vast potential to engage with our customers and professional partners at roadside events
during the Tour de France and the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, while also promoting the benefits of bringing more natural light and fresh air into our lives.”
The partnership kicks off from 2025 and covers the 21-stages of the Tour de France event and the 9 stages of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift event. The men’s event runs from July 5-27 and the women’s event runs from July 26 to August 2.
Baxi flies pupils in to Oxford United treat
Boiler maker Baxi has celebrated its Principle Partnership of Oxford United FC by organising a special treat for pupils from an Oxfordshire school, Pegasus Primary, giving them the chance to join the Oxford United Men’s team 2024/25 squad photo. Des Buckingham and the
entire Men’s Team squad, along with the Sky Bet League One Play-Off Final trophy, surprised the group of year 5 children with the opportunity to join this season’s official team picture. The children were also presented with gifts from the Club and Baxi and had the chance to test their skills in a session delivered by Oxford United in the Community, before the players signed autographs and answered questions. Paul Haynes, product & solutions director at Baxi, added: “Very early in our discussions with Oxford United, it became clear that both our organisations share the same aspirations in terms of sustainable development through community outreach activities. It was wonderful to see the enthusiasm of the children and we look forward to carrying out more events with the Club in the months ahead.”
