LINDE MATERIAL HANDLING (UK) GOES HEAVY-DUTY WITH ELECTRIC
Linde MH’s new generation of larger capacity battery- powered forklift trucks has lifting capacities from 3.5 to 5 tons, making it ideal for moving bricks and blocks – outdoors as well as in a warehouse setting.
T
he X35 – X50 models are waterproof and dustproof, and can handle considerable gradients despite their large load capacities and consistently deliver lifting capacities at the payload limit. This is thanks to the new generation of SRM+ motors whose efficiency and energy output shows improvement of up to 5%. The twin-motor, front-wheel drive arrangement provides traction and the robust steer axle permits tight wheel angle for surprising maneuverability in such a large capacity truck. In addition, these latest models offer the operator significantly more space and an improved view of the load
and surroundings. Electronic assistance systems extend the natural field of vision, and inform, warn or intervene to protect people, vehicles and goods in the surrounding area. An improvement in ride comfort has been achieved by isolating the operator’s workplace from the drive and steer axles and the mast. These large capacity models are also available with the Linde Steer Control (LSC). With this option, the steering column and steering wheel are replaced by a mini-wheel or joystick integrated into the left armrest greatly improving forward visibility and further reducing stress and strain on the operator. Björn Walter, senior product manager,
Extreme conditions are where the new Linde X35 – X50 electric forklifts feel at home. Encapsulated and cooled power units mean these high-performance vehicles are highly resistant to the ingress of water, dirt and dust.
Counterbalance Trucks, said: “Electric trucks that combine the performance characteristics and power of hydrostats with the dynamics, flexibility and zero emissions of battery- powered vehicles are exclusive to Linde. “We can thus offer our customers a compelling combination of performance and sustainability.” BMJ
