aving completed a £1m total branch refurbishment, the Wigan branch of national builders’ merchant Jewson, has turned its attention to the landscaping and outdoor living sectors. The branch has seen a new trade counter area, with digital advertising boards, new sales offices and meeting rooms, as well as completely rebuilt warehouse.
Allied to this is the outdoor living display area which features a range of paving and walling products as well as outdoor buildings and aggregates.
The first eye-catching display is based upon a typical Wigan garden, says business development manager Adam Thomas. “We wanted to show local people what could be achieved with a bit of imagination , great

products and a good landscaper,” he says. “Many of the houses in the area are old-style terraces with back yards. So we’ve designed an outdoor living area with paving and a fire pit that is easily achievable in that small space.” It’s a premium outdoor living area, featuring porcelain, natural stone, decking, composites, a water feature, an aluminium pergola, and fire pit with a working pizza oven and outdoor kitchen, again to show what can be achieved, even in small space, The pizza ovens have already Thomas says, brought in plenty of interest and sales.

current and upcoming trends, though there are more products and ranges featured in the new Jewson landscaping catalogue, which the branch will be using alongside the displays. It includes a wide range of options and different products.
The branch worked with a local landscaper, Prestige Landscaping Northwest, who were tasked with transforming the space, alongside Eco Home Space – themselves a good customer of the Wigan branch - who constructed the garden building. and all topped off with a bespoke outdoor kitchen.
