PJH announces Business Partnership with Wolverhampton Wanderers FC

PJH has announced its Business Partnership with Wolverhampton Wanderers FC.

This collaboration reinforces PJH’s strong ties within the Wolverhampton community, with the imminent opening of its new flagship, Wolverhampton Distribution Centre on the horizon and aligns perfectly with PJH’s commitment to excellence and local engagement.

Kimberley Cooper, PJH’s head of marketing and product, commented on the partnership: “Our alliance with Wolverhampton Wanderers

Grant & Stone’s golf day swings into action, raising £4,775 for Macmillan

is a natural extension of PJH’s core values of excellence and community commitment. “Partnering with Wolves enables us to showcase our shared ethos of striving for excellence across all we do. This connection with a club so close to our new distribution hub highlights our dedication to the Wolverhampton area and strengthens our role within the local community.” As part of this exciting

partnership, PJH will have access to Wolves’ exceptional hospitality for key Premiership home games,

hosting valued guests to enjoy the action from some of the best seats in the Molineux stadium. Moreover, PJH will sponsor Wolves’ talented forward, Matheus Cunha, the club’s top scorer for the 2023/24 season, underlining the company’s investment in supporting local talent.

By also sponsoring the head coach for the recent Wolves versus Manchester City match, PJH arranged a unique experience for its guests. Before the match kicked off, some guests embarked on a fascinating

tour where they learned about the stadium and team history, hearing stories about the club from the people who know Wolves best. Meanwhile, others had the chance to meet Wolves coach Gary O’Neil, who provided fantastic insights. The guests also had the opportunity to select their “Man of the Match”—an honour that culminated in a post-game interview and award presentation with the chosen player.

Permaroof helps dogs given ruff start an area to play

PermaLawn, part of roofing and building solutions provider PermaGroup, has supported an animal charity.

Grant & Stone has announced that its annual charity golf day raised an impressive £4,775 for Macmillan Cancer Support. The event, which took place at Huntswood Golf Club in Slough, saw 125 customers, staff, and suppliers take part in an 18-hole four-ball golf tournament. Eliot Ryan, business support manager at Grant & Stone, and organiser of the event, commented: “Who took part – from the players to the organisers and those who supported us on the day. Without their commitment, we would not have been able to achieve this. Macmillan Cancer Support offers vital care, and we are proud to contribute to their efforts.” Macmillan Cancer Support provides invaluable help to people living with cancer, offering medical, financial, and emotional assistance. The funds raised by Grant & Stone will help the charity continue its work.

Forget-Me-Not Animal Rescue, based in Welshpool, works to foster and rehabilitate a range of animals from hens and turkeys to rabbits and dogs with an aim to rehome them to a loving environment. After recently taking in two cruelty- case rottweiler-cross dogs, who had suffered in the most awful

circumstances, the rescue was desperate to provide them with a safe but secure space to play. PermaLawn donated a 25x4m roll of pet-friendly turbo grass. Sarah, manager at Forget-Me- Not, said: “These dogs have to

relearn how to be good pets and companions and require the right space to explore. Having seen another rescue centre create an effective area with artificial lawn we knew it was the right choice for our pups. The biggest challenge with any outside space at the rescue is ensuring it doesn’t become a mud bath as soon as it rains, and the pet-friendly artificial lawn from PermaLawn is a fantastic solution for this.

Wrekin inspires school children with environmental roadshow protecting our world.”

Wrekin Products has launched the first leg of its school roadshow as part of its ‘The Sea Starts Here’ campaign. Designed to educate and inspire young minds, the initiative highlights the environmental damage caused by litter to the UK’s waterways. Wrekin representatives are going in to schools to demonstrate how even small acts of littering can snowball into severe consequences for our marine ecosystems. The sessions highlights how pollutants harm aquatic life and disrupt the balance of freshwater and marine habitats, often taking centuries to decompose.

Students are tasked with designing their own posters to raise awareness about littering and water pollution.

Simon Turner, commercial director at Wrekin Products, said: “Our goal with this school tour is to inspire the next generation to think critically about littering and how it impacts our waterways. Children are not just the leaders of tomorrow—they’re powerful messengers for change today. By equipping them with knowledge and engaging them in creative projects, we hope to drive home the importance of

The Sea Starts Here campaign approach includes labelling gully grates with the campaign slogan and painting them bright blue to serve as permanent reminders of where waste ends up when improperly discarded.
