1 Marsh goes to war on phosphates
Wastewater treatment solutions provider Marsh Industries has a new sewage plant which reduces phosphate levels to below 0.28mg/ litre, without chemical dosing. The natural non-dosing solution makes the company the first to achieve the stringent phosphate reduction targets set by Natural England and the Environment Agency. The plant uses Phos-lite Pellets, a natural mineral media to reduce the levels of phosphates. These Phos-lite pellets naturally capture and retain phosphates, binding them so that they are easier to remove during the treatment process, ensuring that the treated water released into the environment is cleaner and safer for ecosystems. Phosphate pollution is critical environmental issue, contributing to harmful algae blooms that deplete oxygen, adversely impacting aquatic

ecosystems. It’s also a more cost-effective option since the natural approach requires less maintenance and no chemical adjustments. The plant is designed to be easy to integrate into existing systems, and, with an electrical consumption of jus 0.03kWh/d, is operates at a very low cost. It is designed to retain up to 8.5kg of phosphorous over five years for a 6PE domestic plat. The company has entered an exclusive supply partnership with Water warriors of Wisconsin, which grants it the sole rights to supply and manufacture Phos-lite Pellets in the UK.
Marsh Industries commercial director Lydia Beaumont says: “Our partnership with Water Warriors, and the exclusive rights to Phos-Lite Pellets is a game-changer for the UK sewage treatment industry. This collaboration enables us to offer a unique product that combines

2. Knauf Insulation adds a UK-first to rainscreen range Knauf Insulation’s new Rocksilk®
RainScreen Slab EE, is the UK’s first
non-combustible rainscreen sheathing insulation with an enhanced water-repellent facing. The facing reduces the risk of water damage when the insulation is left exposed to preserve the intended thermal, fire and acoustic performance of the building. It is non-combustible, with a Euroclass A2-s1,d0 reaction to fire classification and the black facing provides an aesthetic solution for behind perforated façades. Rocksilk®
Safe.co.uk announced the addition of two new, cutting-edge Swann MaxRanger4K Ultra HD Solar Camera CCTV Kits to its extensive range of home security products – the Swann MaxRanger4K Ultra HD 4K - 2 Solar Camera CCTV Kit, and the Swann MaxRanger4K Ultra HD 4K - 4 Solar Camera CCTV Kit. Designed for those seeking top-tier security solutions, these innovative kits offer ultra-high-definition 4K video resolution and advanced wireless technology.

RainScreen Slab EE has been added to the new Rocksilk® RainScreen Cavity Systems range, launched earlier this year. Specifiers will be able to meet challenging fire safety requirements with a complete, tested system that includes the sheathing insulation, fixings and cavity
barriers. The best practice for installing insulation in rainscreen façades is to use a ‘rolling front’, but a survey of façade contractors by Knauf Insulation suggests that this is only achieved in approximately 50% of projects. If insulation is left exposed to the elements for too long during construction, it could be damaged, and its performance compromised.
