As such, we have chosen to display products that are simple and hassle free to fit, with both our Kinedo displays available in a range of sizes to offer a direct replacement in size and shape to a pre-existing bath, with minimal bathroom alterations necessary. We have also chosen products that remove the need to rip out existing décor, further reducing the required labour and maintenance. Instead, glass panelling can be fitted over existing tiles, wallpaper or paint – ideal for customers who want a quick turn around on their bathroom.”
Smart products
He continues: “At Graham, we have also been working to improve our smart product offering to ensure that we are meeting consumer trends on intuitive technologies, whilst also further catering for those seeking inclusive, assisted solutions. According to Market Research Future’s recent report on the digital assistant market, products with the ability to assist users through intuitive technology are undergoing a period of significant market growth and will continue to do so for the next five years. Smart showers have witnessed an increase in demand in line with this trend and these can be another suitable product to incorporate into a future-proofed or increased accessibility bathroom.”
Some smart showers enable users to control their shower via remote control or their mobile phone, whilst thermostatic technology ensures the temperature does not fluctuate. Change says that this makes them perfect for older and less able individuals, whilst also being incredibly sought after by younger generations as well, meaning the company can appeal to a wide range of customers from the one display. “Further to increasing our product offer, we have been working with manufacturers, to ensure that our showroom consultants are
fully trained in the solutions we sell and are able to advise customers on the best solution for their needs. It is also worth remembering that customers with a disability number may qualify for VAT exemption on their purchases and installation, a saving of up to 20%, when adapting a bathroom, washroom or cloakroom to suit their needs. All our consultants have been made aware of these discounts so that they can assist or advise our customers on price accordingly.
“With a stark increase in the demand for ‘lifetime bathrooms’, it is crucial that showrooms incorporate as many accessible and user-friendly products as possible, which appeal to those with immediate needs as well as those looking to future-proof their bathroom,” Change adds. “ At Graham we have had significant interest in our inclusive displays and the changes to our Evesham branch have been so well received that we have since begun the process for further
refurbishments in our Enfield, Eastbourne, Abingdon and Poole bathroom showrooms.” As well as highighting the possibilities of bathrooms-for-life, Graham is updating its bathroom showroom experience, with a greater emphasis on design trends and inspiring visitors. The idea is to show the customer exactly what they want to see from a broad range of bathroom brands.
The company has also recently launched a new seasonal bathroom design magazine, ‘Trends’, intended to inspire and inform customers of the latest bathroom designs.
