Lesser and Pavey are delighted to release a brand new range of ceramics with bold blue statement art. The blue range is by a Japanese artist – Hokusai. The range features artwork from his most popular series of works -Thirty Six View of Mount Fiji. Japanese art through history has covered a wide range of art styles and media forms. The earliest complex art in Japan was produced in the 7th and 8th centuries in connection with Buddhism. This new range from Lesser and Pavey is exciting as it is calming with waves of blue sea illustrating indigenous forms of expression, secular art.
