having to communicate via our laptops, we have missed the enjoyment and inspiration from the wonderful world of food, that we get when attending trade shows. As it’s the first show since lockdown, we are proud and excited to showcase our latest home and gift collection, from our premium houseware brands: Emile Henry, Koziol, Scanpan, Veritable and Wusthof.
Cooking and baking at home has been
revived during lockdown. What used to be a chore for some of us, has now become a new lifestyle. Not just a hobby, we’ve found our creative flair and passion for food, while learning and developing our skills in the kitchen. Who knew that we would become bread baking masters by 2021? With this, there are two of the latest introductions we will be showcasing for first time at the Harrogate show; the new Emile Henry mini baguette baker and ciabatta baker. It’s time to incorporate our newfound knowledge of bread making and let the Emile Henry bakers do the hard work of shaping and baking until perfection is achieved.
Ciabatta is a classic Italian bread made
from a lean and runny dough, which gives it this unique, moist texture, which is chewy on the inside, but slightly crispy on the crust. The two cavities in the Emile Henry ciabatta baker ensure the loaves are evenly shaped, while the domed lid helps to control the level of humidity. When it comes to bread baking, nothing beats ceramic. This material has the same refractory properties as those used in traditional bread ovens. The ceramic allows the humidity levels to be adjusted during baking, which is a requirement if the bread is to come out crispy, yet light and airy on the inside. From bread to herbs, how many of us began
to grow our own while in lockdown? If we weren’t baking, we were in the garden, but for those city dwellers who didn’t have a garden to escape to, Veritable welcomed the connection needed to nature. These intelligent indoor gardens will be venturing to the show with us, fresh and flourished with delicious herbs and veggies. Come rain or shine, it doesn’t matter the weather, as Veritable allows you to grow your own produce indoors, all year round. With over 60 different varieties of flavours available,
