ver since Haden started to manufacture kettles in 1958 we haven’t looked back, we keep focusing on Haden’s heritage in pioneering colour and design that is ‘Quintessentially British’. We have continued this theme with our latest
ranges. We take inspiration from all things British, both classic and modern and our col- lections are developed with colours influenced by British homes, architecture and landscapes. This particular style is part of our brand identity and something our customers continue to buy into. Recently, we launched Dorchester range of appliances. The collection consists of variable temperature kettle, digitally controlled four- slice toaster and a matching microwave, all contemporary designed in a quintessentially British style with wooden effect details. The collection is available in Pebble Grey and Sage Green. The colours are reminiscent of leisurely walks through Dorchester countryside that gives an abundance of inspiration. The kettle features 1.7-litre capacity, an LCD display with six pre-set temperatures which allows you to reach the perfect temperature for your favourite hot beverage at a touch of a button. Whether it is green tea brewed at precisely 80 degrees or coffee at 90 degrees, our new Dorchester kettle is a perfect choice for brewing various types of tea and coffee. You can even keep the water at your desired temperature thanks to the keep warm function. A matching four-slice toaster features extra wide slots, convenient cancel, reheat, defrost settings, digital browning control and a removable crumb tray for easy cleaning. The Dorchester microwave features a 20-litre capacity, 800W power, defrost, reheat cooking functions and digital controls for easy use. When it comes to small kitchen appliances, consumers are looking for colours that will brighten their kitchen interiors. It is no longer a standard stainless-steel kettle & toaster, but

more playful colours, such as green, blue, red or copper. We have seen the rise of popularity of our retro inspired Highclere range and our Jer- sey Marmalade range. As customers buy more into coloured and retro style kettle & toasters, having co-ordinated appliances to sit with them is essential! Retro features paired with Haden’s colour palette have proved popular as each style gives a nod to the past. As interior trends move to in- clude a lot more colour and pattern, we’ve seen our limited-edition collaboration with design house Poodle & Blonde soar. This retro style coupled with design is something which has not been seen before and shows that people are investing in not only their décor but their ap- pliances too! With people spending a lot more time at home during the Pandemic they have become more conscious of their surroundings and interiors and design is continuing to be a big part of what they buy including appliances.
